Not only did you describe Celine‘s humble personality and drive in a way that I’ve never heard before, but you’ve even managed to describe her technical talent and ability in a way that I’ve never heard before. Her delivery in a way that I’ve never heard before. I think that takes a special sensibility and sensitivity to be able to do that. You really pay attention sir. And I am one of her biggest fans ever who has really studied the woman myself. Thank you.

8:52 "So the singer doesn't serve the song, the song serves the performance". First a little caveat. Everyone is different and adopts various different philosophies in life and singing is no different. You do what works best for you. Some artists are so connected to the songs indicating that they serve the life force of the song just like some songs are said to write themselves. Artists like Jeff Buckley never do the same song the same twice showing that they intuitively flow with the force that the song generates connecting to some higher force beyond their finite selves. Obviously you are not a complete vessel of the song with no free will so there is an elements of give and take or interplay between the song and the singer but often the song takes over with a life of its own and the intuitive singer/artist intuitively follows. Not every song maybe but many great songs are like this. The glory comes from the Lord of Song (metaphorically speaking) and the singer and song are glorified in that moment creating a mystical romanticism largely ignored by the average listener. The more skillful the singer the easier the glory flows through but the options that a great singer has in delivery comes intuitively through the force in the moment. Thought is the enemy of flow they say. Now if you peel the onion....they don't serve the song they serve the life force of the song. Some songs are just so powerful they move you in this sense and yes not all songs are created equal. Peel the onion further the life force of a song really is just a euphemistic term for God or the Holy Spirit but in a deeply secular word this might rub people the wrong way and is not fashionable to speak in this way unless you are a gospel singer. These words of Bono from U2 backs up the thesis: “People say your songs are like your children,” Bono tells Apple Music. “Wrong: Your songs are like your parents. They tell you what to do, how to dress..." (17 Mar 2023)

Celine is I feel particularly good at delivering at the great moments..The Eurovision very much at the start of her career, Grammy performances, on stage with Pavarotti, with the BeeGees, with Bocelli, her performance at the Aretha tribute, the performance at the Grammies after the terrorist attack in Paris and then most recently closing the opening ceremony of the Olympics..on the Eiffeltower no less..she delivers exactly the emotion to MAKE the moment perfect. I agree music seems to hit her differently...the woman just cannot talk without falling into a bit of song..she IS music. I was so moved and pleased for her to see her at the Olympics..able to sing again. What a moment!!!

You are right on about Celine, she is totally amazing, definitely the best singer I have ever heard. There are alot of good singers but she is in a category all her own.She has a beautiful heart and people love her so easily. PRAYERS FOR HER❤❤❤❤❤

Excellent analysis! You put into words what I've been seeing, feeling, and thinking about Celine Dion's extraordinary voice, insight, and connection with people. She truly respects and loves her fans, she deeply feels the emotion of her fans and she responds to that in her own emotion and expression when she performs. On top of that, she's just a wonderful human being. She truly is one of a kind! I like that you close with hope that she will continue to find her way...her phenomenal performance at the Olympics gives us all hope. I have never been so emotionally moved by any performance. What a "super power"

I am very very proud to say that her neurologist who discovered and diagnosed her SPS is from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus right down the street from me in Denver (Aurora), Colorado ❤ She is here often and I am always sending her love.

Thank god I have some more perspective nowadays, but I remember not too long ago scoffing at any and all pop divas - because I was all about things like Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin - as if just because these performers work within the highest of mainstreams, they aren't worth their mettle. I know different now, and there's few people I have as much respect and admiration for than Celine. What an absolute POWERHOUSE she is. I think the entire music industry owes her a huge debt that has yet to be repaid, she was never just a fad

Agreed! How we listen and think about music changes throughout our lives. I am much more open now.

@@JohnHennyVocalStudio And actually Robert Plant is a beautiful example of that..not living on his past glory days but moving on with his lefe and age and discovering new music..and Grammies that I am sure he would never have expected to see..a succes he wouldn't have expected anymore

@John Henny..you should check out this years BGT winner Sydnie Christmas..she is a singer with a similar gift of EQ in singing and it was clear from the reaction of the audience present..how Sydnie's performances really moved them. But first you HAVE to see that Olympic moment of Celine. Especially after having seen the docu..and hearing your own story..it is such a glorious moment for Celine and for her fans. I was in tears and I am not a woman who cries easily at all

Thanks for your reaction to the film. I always can feel her feelings to her songs, cause my hearing is more sensitive and my emotions are much deeper and stronger, because of my no sight from birth on. So I can relate stronger and deeper to the feelings of others. I’d like you to react to Sydnie Christmas song “Starlight Express”. Sydnie’s voice is similar to Céline’s and I like it too.
