You mention that Shania sounds the same as she did in the 90s but were you aware that she contracted Lyme disease in 2004 during the Up tour and it caused damage to her vocal chords? She now sounds sorta like she is constantly hoarse and it’s difficult for her to sing with the tone she is so famous for. Her last recorded song using her Shania tone is from a 2012 duet with Lionel Richie’s ‘Endless Love’ which was incredible but ever since she has chosen to sing in a more comfortable tone. Check out her lead single from her 2017 album Now called ‘Life’s About to Get Good’ and if you don’t mind let me know what you think 😀

Who's gonna tell her Shania was lip syncing... But honestly I don't blame her, bless her heart lyme's disease really did a number on her live vocals. She's still a vocal powerhouse in the studio though!!
