Me pasa exactamente igual que a ti. Es una gran cantante y cuando alguien lo pone en duda, siempre tiro de esta actuación que, para mí, es el mejor directo de Rosalía. Me recuerdo a mí misma viéndolo en directo ese día en la TV y llorando como una Magdalena. xD Y como tú dices, canta lo que le da la gana y lo va a seguir haciendo. En una entrevista decía que ser músico consistía en eso precisamente, sorprender constantemente al público con la música que vas haciendo. lo que ocurre es que desperdicia su voz cantando eso, y no digo que el reggae y eso sea mierda, pero si tenes un don y lo tiras a la basura en esos generos donde la voz de los cantantes es editada con autotune....y bueno, no hiciste una gran elección que digamos. Es una gran cantante, pero diezmo su pontencial en esos generos donde hasta maluma gana condecoraciones. Es una versión primaria, descarnada, contenida -pero intensa-, casi espiritual. Y lo mejor es que el tema original que ella versiona de forma tan pura es un antiguo tema que fue muy popular y suelto. Nadie imaginaba que de un tema así se podría hacer una versión tan trascendental y solemne, de intensa belleza. Una vez más un perfecto giro de guion en esta espléndida artista, con un carácter muy marcado siempre pero, a la vez, muy versátil en distintos estilos musicales Es como una versión sacra, austera, Pura, primaria, intensa, sobria, contenida de una canción de Los Chungitos (era como un sacrilegio intentar versionar ese famosísimo tema). Nadie imaginaba que ese tema encerraba la profundidad casi mística que demuestra (y encuentra) Rosalía en su versión . Saludos ! Tendrías que oír la versión original de Los Chunguitos para saber la increíble transgresión que ha hecho Rosalía. (En el supuesto de que te interesen mis comentarios) La versión original de Los Chunguitos es muy suelta y popular (aflamencada) y parece como que Rosalía ha buceado en ella (en la canción estudiándola a fondo) y ha logrado llegar a su esencia más Pura y primaria , casi sacra. Y eso es versionar: subvertir (poéticamente) la obra original (y hacerlo de una manera rompedora e imprevista en la propia trayectoria de Rosalía -para demostrar su versatilidad y capacidad musical, su formación, su educación musical). Puede ser una diva pero también puede ser una ortodoxa.

Una actuación de otra dimensión!! Este hermoso poema, en origen es una rumba flamenca que hizo historia en la década de los 80. Desde el primer instante que lo escuché en 1981, programa de Carmen Maura, me pareció uno de los más hermosos cantos de amor. Con ese aire rumba flamenco, que llega a doler, de los Chunguitos. @@patriciagarcia2600 Canta "flamenco" como un grillo mojado. No es casualidad que a la gente que más le gusta Rosalía ni siquiera entienden de flamenco. Jamás podrían distinguir una taranta de una minera, una bulería por soleá de una soleá por bulería, unas cantiñas de unas alegrías. Es más, mucha de esa gente no le gusta el flamenco y algunos hasta lo odiaban hace cuatro días. This is the first traditional style of singing I've heard with her and I'm absolutely in love with her voice. Her tone, her original voice, her... I'm actually lost for words. This is pretty awesome. I followed her rap and pop music out of Spain but didn't realize she sang THIS wonderful. Awesome. Just absolutely awesome. I have great respect for her talent.

In fact, she’s firstly, a specialist in this style of music called ‘Flamenco’. It’s what she studied at University in Barcelona. If you like it, I’d recommend you “ Los Angeles“ and “El Mal querer”, her two albums. El Mal querer is considered a true masterpiece , she shows her amazing talent as a singer, composer and producer, I mean, a complete musician. :)

In all my years visiting Spain with my ex wife, she's from a town called Marin in Galicia, I would listen to music on the radio but not a whole lot of flamenco stylings. When I did hear it, the music intrigued me. It still does and Rosalia's way of using flamenco stylings in her music is brilliant. For a Puerto Rican like me, which loves music by nature, this talent is an excellent addition to my collection of talent from around the world. Span had a ton of talent in its cradle. Just spectacular.

@@franktherealist481 no way! I live in Pontevedra, the town close to Marín! Haha I usually go to the beach there a lot because they are the closest ones. I wasn't born here, though, I'm from Valladolid, Castille. I think Rosalía's strategy is great. If she hadn't sung trap/ urban or not having done all the collabs, it would have been almost impossible that the whole world already knows her only because of flamenco. Once she's gotten the attention, she can do whatever she wants. Besides, she's still very young and enjoy those other styles, too. Cheers from Pontevedra!! ;)

It's absolutely breathtaking. I'm partial to Vigo, even though I'm not a city boy. And Pomtevedra is also an awesome city. I just love it all. And you're right about Rosalia's transition in her music. I plan to visit Galicia soon when this covid-19 nonsense ends. I love Galicia but having visited other places in Spain, I want to see more. My ex was kind of a penny pincher when we did visit and she mainly wanted to stay close to her family in Marin. I can't complain, though. El coro es del Palau de la Música Catalana, de Barcelona. Gran coro a nivel internacional. Guste o no lo que canta Rosalía, tiene una gran voz y muy buena formación académica, pero además se ha atrevido a trabajar en plan showbusiness como se hace en USA y en otros países. As the emotion of the performance talks by itself, as you have perfectly noticed, it makes even more sense knowing what she's singing about. By the way, this is a cover of an old flamenco band, "Los Chichos", if I remember well, not one of her own songs, and it was performed in the show of a Spanish delivery of prizes of cinema, called "Goyas". I admire her because she's not just a magnificent singer, but also a great dancer, componer and producer. I love how complete and polivalent she is as an artist.
