Holding the ITYF conference over Zoom presents a practical and cost-effective alternative to an in-person event in Dharamsala. By utilizing virtual meeting technology, the significant expenses associated with travel, accommodation, and venue rental can be eliminated. This approach not only facilitates wider participation from global attendees but also promotes environmental sustainability by reducing the carbon footprint. The substantial savings from hosting the conference online could be reallocated to increasing the salaries of employees of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA). This would not only improve the financial well-being and morale of the CTA workforce but also ensure that funds are used more efficiently to support the organization’s broader mission and activities.

Tibetans On Jagaran Yatra By TINA RAI Members of Tibet Youth Congress (TYC) held an open air meeting at Bhod Lha Solsa at Chandmari on March 4,2003. Jimpa Phuntsok, President of TYC informed NOW! that the purpose of the meeting was to spread awareness among Indians towards India the cause of Tibet's Freedom and the advantage that would accrue towards India should Tibet become free. He further stated that this is a part of the "Bharat Jagaran Yatra" programme which was launched all over India by fellow Tibetans from March 1,2003 onwards. The Chandmari meeting, which was attended by 32 participants who were then divided into three groups and assigned to distribute pamphlets all over town. Another members of TYC added that the next day they would be holding prayers for the Lossar (New Year) and from then on they would proceed to Ravongla distributing pamphlets along the way. He then said that this was peaceful procession and they would not carry any banners nor would they shout any slogans. This pamphlets reads that when Tibet was free, India had only 1,500 border security personnel patrolling the Tibet border, but today, now that Tibet is occupied by Communist Chinese forces, India is spending over Rs 65 crores per day to man the border. After the Communist Chinese invasion Indians have been barred against visiting holy places like Mount Kailash and Mansarovar Lake. The pamphlets further warns that the completion of Dali-Nyingtri-Lhasa railway project, which runs close to India's Northeast states, along with China's naval base at Burma poses a serious threat to India. "All these facts have been printed in Nepali, English, Bengali and Hindi languages so that all Indians would be enlightened and help us in our cause," added another members. He further said that all the members of TYC would also be attending another meeting of the Northeast Zonal Tibetan Youth Congress at Siliguri on March 10,2003, the National Uprising Day. It might be mentioned here that the Lossar celebrations in Sikkim have been toned down in obeisance to the Dalai Lama's call that the Tibetan New Year be kept sombre this time in respect of the Tibetan "Freedom Fighters" executed in Communist Chinese occupied Tibet earlier last month. བོད་ཀྱི་གྱོན་པ་དང་ས་གདན་ཁ་གདན་ལ་སོགས་པ་ཐོག་ན་རྒྱ་ཡིག་མེད་ན་ཡག། རྒྱའི་རོ་སྒམ་རོ་གོས་དང་རྒྱ་ཁྱིའི་གྱོན་གོས་དང་གསང་སྤྱོད་ཀྱི་སྒོ་སྟེང་གི་རྒྱ་ཡིག་རེད། ཡི་གེ་འདི་ལ་འབྲི་སྟངས་མི་འདྲ་བ་ལྔ་བརྒྱ་ཡོད། Don’t use Chinese characters on Tibetan clothes and carpets ,etc., Chinese people often use these characters on coffin,corpse costume,Dog’s clothes and toilet door. ༼Dharamsala is the main base for promoting Chinese culture and Chinese junk products, followed by Tibetan embassies and associations in overseas countries.༽
