In this edition of the Women of Tibet program, we are featuring former political prisoner MindruksharTsering Dolkar, who rose up to resist China's invasion of Tibet during the 1959 uprising, and later on in the Tibetan Women’s Uprising Day in Lhasa, Tibet. Tsering Dolkar also took part in the resistance programs like Ghunggol Tsokpa and Gyalche Tsokpa who worked in secret to resist the Chinese occupation which subsequently let to the imprisonment of Tsering Dolkar, her father and husband.

Thank you Amala for sharing your bravery and resilience against our enemies. You are voice for millions of Tibetans who went through torture , suffering, starvation, struggle session, thousands died. My Amala had to go to Norbulinka to look for my pala and her brother, she saw thousands of Tibetans killed. My late uncle Tenpa Soepa la with 70 Tibetans was send to concentration camp in China and my pala was send to Machen lokhan for 1 year.My mother was send to make road. My family’s neighbor were Tibetan Muslim whose father committed suicide by jumping river.
