Layne has been beatboxing professionally since 2003 when their original beatboxer Scott Porter left. Geoff taught him.

I'm so glad you got to the ACA Top Tens! It's so much fun to hear these guys work their magic live in more-or-less one take!

Fun video and reaction! I get how beatboxing became a competitive thing. But I have always been truly amazed at just how diverse and creative people can be with vocal effects. I'm lucky if I can pronounce words clearly enough for people to understand what I am trying to communicate. 🤣

Thanks for explaining the beat boxing is just great to learn Layne style and yours

Most of their ACA Top Ten videos are filmed like this, live in one take, so you can enjoy more unfiltered Layne if you dive in that series more 🤣

Great reaction! I really LIKE you masking the video with chat... It lets us see the performance AND the comments you're reacting to. Layne's super power isn't that he brings new skills, it's the speed that he can switch between the library of skills on a dime!

I will never have 2 hours for live stream but I am so grateful for you and your reactions

100%! Agree with Katie concliffe you definitely need to check out “Elvira live at the Gordon performance centre” or “Geoff Castellucci singing Grace Kelly”

I always miss the livestream 😭I think, it's in the evening (8pm?) when I'm not online. I'm back around 11pm again, but I enjoy every VP reaction and Beatbox explanation "relive"🥰

Ja definitely Grace Kelly. Don't think I've seen a reactor covering that one. Geoff is brilliant

Definitely check out their ACA TOP 10 Disney songs, they've done Heroes, Villains and Sidekicks. Layne is insane in the Villains top 10. All done in 1 take.

The fact that Layne sings "My Little Brony" the second time cracks me up way more than is should. XD

These were around my nieces' and nephews' time, but before my kids' time, they watched hand-me-down tapes. Me, I watched Mighty Mouse and was on Romper Room in Canada. LOL So old.

I'm old - so I was in my 20s during the '80s. I could only watch the Saturday Morning cartoons. However, I DO know the other cartoons you mentioned - including 'Top Cat'. Absolutely loved 'Tom & Jerry'! But of the ones from this time period - my faves were 'Rescue Rangers' & 'TailSpin'. Ooooo...and I swear the very best one was 'Gargoyles'!!!

Holy Crap! I didn't know this existed! Layne isn't human in this! Also, they need to do a full cover of the "Jem!" Theme Song. It's the best 80's Cartoon Theme Song every written, in my opinion. So underrated!

If you want to see and hear Layne beatbox raw, watch " The Genie Raps"😊

Was this when he was doing arrangements for Disney on Broadway? I know I’ve seen at least part of it and I know that he did go backstage and meet the guy who played the genie. I thought I had it book marked and now I can’t find it😮

As a Pegasister, I am both glad the included MLP at all (I was a fan of the first generation of MLP, because yes I'm that old and what little girl doesn't like ponies and unicorns and pegasi, but I am mainly a MLP FIM fan, even have a tat of Fluttershy), and disappointed they didn't do more of the song. Also, has anyone ever told you'd you make a great "Shaggy?" Of course, I recall saying in one of your first VP videos that you remind me of Matthew Lillard. He is the quintessential Shaggy. Talk about someone being born to play a role! Of course, I've liked him since Scream. And of course I'm sure it comes as no surprise that my favorite version is the most recent one, with David Tennant (who is in my pfp) playing Scrooge McDuck!💙

I think of Matthew Lillard every time I see him. I don’t think of him from the Scooby Doo movie, because I’m really old. My son is in his 40s and I remember him Hackers with Angelina Jolie. It used to be our favorite movie to watch. He was hilarious.
