Hi Guys! Welcome to my 2nd reaction on my HALLOWEEN SPECIAL SERIES! Hope you enjoy these reactions! I also just released a little music video in which I play the theme song of the horror movie "The Exorcist". I would really appreciate it if you'd go and take a look! When Lauren sings that high “in the closet” with that demented look, Eli and Cesar are right up there in the stratosphere with her.
@johndeeregreen45922 жыл бұрын
I noticed that... they went about 3/4 of the way up with her, then left her to finish it out only slightly higher than they reached.

The Hunted Mansion. A Disney ride. Geoff the caretaker/ gravedigger Cesar Madam Leota Eli Alexander Nitrikoff on his barrel of explosiva Layne the Hatbox Ghost Lauren the Ghost Bride
@bjspeck43372 жыл бұрын
Don't feel alone. Almost all of us had the same problem. The set is designed after the Disney Haunted Mansion ride. Lauren lives in Nashville and Layne went up to get her video in the can and took it back to Orlando just before the hurricane ran over Florida. Lauren is also known as the Stairwell Siren since she goes into the apartment building stairwells and sings creepy songs that her neighbors can hear.
@ljk54642 жыл бұрын
All the characters are from the Haunted Mansion in Disney Park rides. Geoff is Silas Crump, the cemetery Caretaker; Layne is the Hatbox Ghost; Cesar is Madame Leota in the Crystal Ball; Eli is Alexander Nitrokoff (standing on a box of dynamite. Hence, his "Boom!") from the stretching room poster (on the wall behind him), and Lauren is Constance Hathaway, the Ghost Bride. Did you hear Eli say "hello" when they sing "Knock, knock! I'm inside your room now (Eli's Hello)"? It's very quick! Plus, Elizabeth Zharoff (The Charismatic Voice) lends her voice to the background scene with the many ghosts flying around.

This one was just fun - spooky and fun! I watched Layne being made up and still can't see him under that makeup. Thanx for reacting to this, Voiceplay is absolutely wonderful!! I'm so glad you are going to do Bump In The Night, I saw it for the first time this week!

I saw that video from Patti Cake studio production that Layne & Tony ( formerly of Voice Play ) are co owners of. Layne & Tony both have played multiple parts in that production. They are amazing.

Bump in the Night is so good. When I first saw it I was confused as to why no one was out trick-or-treating, but then looked at the year it was released and it was the first year of Covid. If you have watched the movie Hocus Pocus you might want to look at the six videos that they have done related to that movie. My favorite is Hocus Heathens which is the dance scene from the first movie. If you look carefully you can see Layne, his wife Cindy, their daughter and Layne’s parents in the scene. Instead of I’ve got a spell on you they use the 21 Pilots song.

The original song was generated by a vocal synthesizer called Vocaloid and in (I think) Korean. Lizz Robinett did an English translation, and then Lauren went viral on TikTok doing a creepy stairwell version of it. It may have been used in other things I am not aware of as well. VoicePlay selected The Haunted Mansion (the attraction at Disneyland and Disney World) as the backdrop for the video. They are all playing characters from that attraction.

This was a great reaction! I love this version of the song, the production design on the music video is stellar. Eli's character is supposed to be The Dynamite Guy a.k.a. Alexander Nitrokoff, so the accent is East European for sure - maybe supposed to be Russian (but not quite).

The Bass Gang version was a little creepy but Voice Play went all out by staying true to the scenery of the Haunted Mansion & they added a little bit of fun as well as a lot of scary costume & makeup. Vocal wise, Voice Play in my opinion was also better as well.

@@marshayoung9387 See, I don’t like making comparisons, since they’re so different. Voiceplay’s was the Disney version, based on the Haunted Mansion. They like to keep their videos kid-friendly, but still something we adults can enjoy. I love that about them. The Bass Gang’s version had a whole different kind of haunted house thing going on with a whole different vibe, whole different take on the song and the music. Both versions were brilliant in their own different way.
@lkayh2 жыл бұрын
Great reaction! Now I hope you’ll check out The Bass Gang’s version of this same song, also with Lauren Paley as featured singer-not to compare-both are great in very different ways. Please, pretty please?
@janetdw2 жыл бұрын
I was concerned when I saw that they were going to do the same song with the same featured artist, but I should not have been concerned. Each group did totally different treatments and I really don’t know how anyone would compare the two because they are so different. They are both absolutely spectacular. I guess your favorite would boil down to do you like spooky with a bit of fun or funny with a bit of spooky. Some scenes remind me so much of the movie The Shining that it’s sometimes hard for me to watch it because I get so creeped out. And the TV with a Poltergeist reference also.
@lkayh2 жыл бұрын
@@janetdw my answer to the question would be “YES” LOL. I’ll take both, anytime! I hate to creep you out any more, but hey, it’s Halloween. You may know The Shining was inspired by the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado. I’ve never been a big believer in ghosts, but that hotel is reputedly haunted, and all I know is that one night, my sister and I drove past that place, and that began the scariest night drive either of us has ever experienced. We were on our way over Trail Ridge Road to Grand Lake, and as we passed the hotel. I started to feel something pulling my hair. I had really long hair at the time, and I thought maybe I was sitting on it, so I kept reaching back behind my neck and gathering up my hair and pulling it out from behind my back-but I kept feeling that really strong, almost painful tug on my scalp. And I had this sense that there was something awful in the back seat of my car, and that if I said anything about it, all hell was going to break loose. The longer we drove, the more I felt this really terrifying presence, and no matter how many times i gathered up all my hair and draped it over my shoulder, there was still this tug, tug, tug…. Understand, this is me (18 at the time) and my sister (17). Two teenaged girls, and the car was dead silent, all the way up to the top of the pass. When we reached the top, the tugging stopped, and I didn’t feel that awful presence anymore, and I heard my sis let go this long, shuddering breath. That’s when she tells me that, from the minute we drove past the Stanley, she kept feeling something tapping on her shoulder, and she felt like something really terrifying was in the seat behind us, and if she said anything, we were in terrible danger. True story. And the really funny thing is, neither of us had seen The Shining, and neither of us had heard about the Stanley being haunted before we started telling people about our experience. So I don’t think it was our imaginations getting away with us. I still don’t necessarily believe in ghosts, but you couldn’t pay me to stay in that hotel. Or drive past it again. Anyway, I caught The Shining vibe in TBG’s version as well. It added to the spookiness of the song for sure.

@@lkayh OMG! That is so creepy. It isn’t that I believe in “ghosts” but I also know that I have felt the presence of my parents at a pivotal times. That energy has to go somewhere. That story reminds me of the ghost stories about the couple parking in the woods and feeling a presence and when they got home there was evidence of someone trying to get into the car. I know it was an urban legend but to this day I check the back seat and cargo area of my locked SUV before I get in…every time. I have been in buildings that creeped me out for no good reason and also been in places that just “felt happy”. Maybe I am a little crazy, but “There are more things in heaven and Earth,Horatio that are dreamt of in your philosophy.” Just because you can’t see something doesn’t mean it isn’t there. Whole religions are based on that premise, so….🤷🏼♀️
