You start to get the feeling Layne just loves messing with Geoff… paint, girly clothes, rats, lots of paint. 😂 Huldra’s channel is great fun!

Ashley ordered 2 sizes in case one didn't fit. The smaller one fit and she talked Geoff into the larger outfit to go with the chameleon character for those few seconds. Geoff did a good scream but they opted for the goat scream. Ashley was offering the green glass or seeds to get Bruno to tell her the truth. The first time I heard VP do this, I was stunned and said, "Why have I never heard this?" just amazing. You are so much fun to watch - keep it up please!

Huh. Never noticed that Layne completely takes over the bass during Ashley's/Geoff's pretty princess moments. Anyway, brief description of the plot: people born into in the central family have abilities. The woman singing about her wedding has power over weather. Bruno has the power of prophecy, but it seems like to everyone else he always predicts bad things. The one who whispers (Layne's part) can hear even the slightest sounds. Geoff's character is a shapeshifter, shown here as him copying Bruno and Ashley's character (can't remember the character name). She has the ability to make pretty flowers and plants grow. When Ashley puts on the glasses, she's representing the main character, the only one born into the family without powers. The day she was supposed to manifest her powers, Bruno disappeared. In the present, she finds the broken pieces of a prophecy (the green things Ashley has in her hands) and she hopes putting the pieces back together and finding Bruno will solve the family's worsening problems. In order the get that serene pretty scene with the rose petals floating around, they had to use a leaf blower, record at double time and then slow it down by half. You found the hilarious frame where a petal was stuck on Cesar's nose. 🤣 Never take your eyes off Voiceplay; they are always doing something silly. In the same scene, watch Ashley's angry face as Geoff steals her part. 😂 Earlier, she makes the most hilarious face when she sings about her dead fish. I love the beatboxing perspective. I'm glad Layne is finally getting the attention he deserves. I hope you get to Voiceplay's Wicked and The Greatest Showman Medleys soon.

We've been saying for ages that Geoff makes a very good Disney Princess and this proves it. LOL Maybe that's way he started doing the rough tough Western type videos: Ghost Riders and Unshaken. And yes they used the goat scream.

Layne has the cleanest snare sound I've ever heard. Even in the live videos of them with crappy sound quality, it sounds so crisp and clear. I fell in love with the way he ended this. This is his arrangement too. He's super creative and crazy as hell and we love him for it! ❤

They did this so well Disney World Orlando asked them to come perform it at the park. There is video of them on stage doing it live. Fun fact. Geoff and Layne have been best friends since middle school. Geoff looks good in a blouse.

Layne does some kind of inhale trick at the end. He said it took months for him to do it. He's just amazing. Eli does the lighting for them. They're all so multitalented

I saw this before the movie too, so I missed a lot of the jokes. It is a very good movie, worth a watch! And since it was written by "Hamilton" composer Lin Manuel Miranda, you know it HAS to be good! Great reaction, hilarious and fun!💙

"Encanto" actually IS a very good movie. A tractate about intergenerational trauma in so many of its aspects, and what it takes to resolve it. As a clinical Psychologist, I just LOVE that movie.

There's a fun clip floating around of Geoff and Ashley dancing side by side in identical blouse and pink shorts. I think it was Geoff's idea to dress like her, since the extra outfit fit him and he's playing the shapeshifter who shifted into the female character for that stanza. After playing Frankenstein's Monster at Universal for ten years, dancing and singing in platform shoes and green makeup, nothing fazes him as a performer.

It is a good movie, I ended up watching it just in preparation for them doing this video. If you don’t watch the movie, at least go out and check the clip of this particular scene so that you can compare the two. Personally I think Voicemail did a much better job.I think it’s also that the family name here is Madrigal and as I understand it, Madrigal is the type of singing they’re doing especially at the end with multiple lines and melodies all woven together. Geoff was portraying Camilo the Shapeshifter. Most of the time he was channeling what he thought Bruno would be like. But then he stole Ashley’s line so had to change appearance. When you watch, check out the looks 👀 that Geoff gets when he steals Ashley’s line. The portion with the rose petals had to be filmed with everything going double speed so that when they slowed it down for the video the rose petals would be floating by rather than just blasting into their faces which is what really was happening🌸(To get the petals to move fast enough so they didn’t drop to the ground and also to get Ashley’s hair to flow like that they had to use not only a fan but a leaf blower!) There is an hilarious video of Geoff and Ashley dancing in their matching outfits(even the pink shorts!!) It’s on Instagram and it’s the second picture in the page so you have to swipe. Geoff did a pretty respectable scream at the rat on his shoulder, but Layne replaced it with the sound of a screaming goat for even funnier effect. Geoff is not really playing Bruno. He is playing a shapeshifting character Camillo who often changes into other characters to annoy then ( he is around eight years old). That explains Geoff turning into the girl character.

Oogie Boogie was the video that introduced me to these guys, but this video is what really got me hooked. The set, the singing, and the humor and character they put into their performances are irresistible. And that silly umbrella toss 🤣 The mood of this is supposed to be ominous and mysterious--the other characters are telling young Mirabel about her long-missing uncle, a subject they avoid because his prophecies tended to come true and if he'd predicted something bad, he tended to get blamed for it.

Geoff has his own channel, where his bio says "I'm just a simple guy who likes to sing and make videos." But you'll be amazed at what he can do on his own. I hope you watch and I guarantee you won't regret it.😉

It's such a fun filled creation by VoicePlay. There are so many hidden gems and that makes rewatching so enjoyable. It will be interesting to hear how many of Layne's techniques Klown incorporates into his own beatboxing.
