Layne has played violin since childhood. What you hear here is his real violin, not the prop one they can throw around. Geoff is a accomplished pianoplayer, which can be enjoyed in several of his soloworks, as in Shenandoah, Blackbird,High and Dry, Til Then, Sound of Silence and Whicked Game.

Oh I figured the violin was real. I didn't even think it was a prop. I also knew that Geoff played piano. I saw him play it in Jack's Lament

I love this one. Layne first brought out his violin for Warriors - (not a spoiler, it's in the thumbnail) and won the name VioLayne. We had to wait 3 years to hear it again in this one. Warriors is gorgeous, you should listen.

Really? I feel like almost any song could be done in acapella, just in different styles. There's a VoicePlay song I reacted to with someone else that is scheduled out where they did just that. But yeah I have enjoyed VoicePlay so far

@@AceofBadeReacts Ah, let me rephrase. A lot of reactors were surprised that a Metal song could be done so WELL in Acappella. I trust Voiceplay's talent implicitly, but I know I wasn't the only one who raised an eyebrow when they did songs like "Carry On My Wayward Son" and "Dream On." Though I was sure they'd make them work, it took a little brain wrapping, as I wasn't sure HOW they could. And they surprised and delight the heck out of me, every time. Well, not surprised exactly...it's more a matter of discovering HOW FAR their home runs go! Sure, there a couple third bases (pun intended) in their repertoire, but they are very few and far between, and generally have more to do with how I felt about the song than anything Voiceplay does wrong in them.💙
