If you wanted proof that Voiceplay are not human, her you go. Fun fact Anthony (good job with his last name) wasn't the original featured singer. The original singer ended up getting sick and couldn't perform with them. So they called Anthony up and he agreed,. Learned his part, recorded it and was on a plane heading to Florida to recorded the video. Its amazing how they're able to fit featured singers in and make it sound like they've been singing together for years

Fitting, considering Anthony was the intended featured singer for Hoist the Colors but couldn't fly to Florida because of Covid restrictions. Jose Rosario lives within driving distance of Orlando, so he was able to fill in.

Yes it's pronounced as Garjoola. :) Voicrplay never copy a song, they make it their own. As Geoff has said, they are not karaoke singers. Their arrangements are always unique.

This was the third in a 'post-apocalyptic' series, starting with 'Warriors', then 'Dream On'..! Filmed in an abandoned department store near their location in Florida - they had to 'creatively enter', as their contact did not show! There was no power for lighting, so they had to use the natural light on the first floor - the graffiti was real, you might spot on a pillar where they had to use tape to cover some 'adult' stuff..! 😉 Love this version - for a completely different take on this song, try the Post Modern Jukebox version, featuring Haley Reinhart..! 😁

I would say yeah, you may not like it more than their version but it’s a main stay for 2000s rock music. It’s an iconic track!

Love your analysis and thoughts, but may I make a suggestion? I like your background music, but it's distracting and takes us out of the performance you are talking about when you pause to react to have a completely different song playing in a completely different key. Sure, you can have it going before and after, but please not in the middle when you react! Other than that can't agree more with you about the sultriness of this cover. I LOVE how much fuller it was than the original, and how it built up to a wall of sound then drops back at the end. Great reaction!

As for the original: It is an interesting song, but I am not particularly fond of the singer's voice. Or, in other word: it really gets onto my nerves. So, anybody singing this song who was not the original singer was an improvement for me. But I think Voiceplay gave us everything we might have ever dreamt of while listening to that song, and then some. I can listen to their version everyday and if never gets old. And no, the video is fun, but I still love the song even when only listening.
