My question is though... Do you really believe new VAs can get work through here? Say I have great equipment and recording space, but I have no work history like you're saying. I'm speaking for myself in saying I can't yet afford a demo yet and I am working right now to build everything up first. I'm not sure if it's possible for someone to book jobs with the free version and with the paid version you would certainly need demos to stand out and be competitive. I HAVE to make a DIY demo first. I will be working with someone to start me out that way - and this irritates me though, because people always say absolutely no DIY. I GET IT. I am not making some crap demo thinking going into it that I am going to be booking a spot with Microsoft but I DO need people to hear me!! So how do I start out on these P2P's with nothing? I know of someone and have read other people saying they started through P2P and booked jobs through there under the same circumstances I am in and they earned enough money to start investing in better equipment etc.
