Relatable, my 36 yo sister died from ovarian cancer in 2021. Me and mum were here support people through to the end (a 6 month fight). Hearing Marc talk about the ascites bought back some hard to deal with moments. But it makes you greatful for your own health and what you have. Hoping Marc continues to get the support from friends neighbours he needs. Thank you for your service Marc. All the way from New Zealand!!

From a Veteran, Thank You for your service and for discussing the loss of your wife. I am also facing an untreatable cancer, every day I wish for a phone call saying “a new treatment has been found that we want to try” but that call still eludes me.

Thanks again, Larry. You honor us all by honoring them in their service. How can we do more for you, for them, for us. Thank you, Marc, for being part of 'our' platoon. Darlene and Michael.

My dad was a VA doctor. I knew a lot of these men, even though I am only 61 now. The government slaughtered many high quality men with this war.

Marc, thank you for sharing Sandi as part of your story. It was touching to learn of the respect she gave to the medals you earned in service to this country. We all grow stronger from women like your wife. Welcome home Sir, and good luck with your garden!

Hello Sgt Marc Bartlett from Cpt Kenneth W. Bartlett age 86. I served the first time with the 4th IN Div in Pleiku as a LT in the Central Highlands for a complete year much to my surprise. I was wounded at a base camp . I was medivaced and ended up being returned to Vietnam and ended up with the 23 Div Americal. I was assigned as a company commander for only about 6 weeks. Our Bde Cmdr was "Mr Gung Ho at the expense of the soldiers . We ended up in a firefight and I was wounded in my left arm And came close to losing my arm. was medevaced back stateside while my company continued with that senseless fight, and losing yet another soldier. Marc this is about you so I will close wishing you well and GOD speed.

Marc my heart goes out to you. Cancer sucks. I always thought my wife would outlive me. Her mother lived until 95. Lung cancer, chemo , radiation. Minimum 9 appointments a week. It hijacks your life. Feeling like shit. After months, finally cancer free. Immunotherapy. Feeling like shit. Celebrated our 50th anniversary with her in a wheel chair. A month later she got pneumonia in her good lung. She didn’t make it. I cry every day.

Stranded in the ocean, miles away from shore, during a lightning storm swimming from a sunken boat, with no life jacket, I found that "God" people talk about, during a depth charge attack. Helpless and struggling looking up at the dark sky with lightening bolts cracking in the waves around me, and I didn't die. That was 40 years ago.

While I was in the Marine Corps, in the mid-1980’s, I participated in a NATO exercise in the U.K. I was sent to a British Army Fort in the small town of Brecon, Wales. While there, wearing my uniform and standing at a crosswalk, a Welshman approached me and asked if I was in the American Marines. He stated that in the 1960’s he joined the U.S. Army so to be part of America’s Vietnam experience.

An atheist is a theist of their own soul; which may be better than analyzing a communal soul and coming to a certain conclusion. one can believe in one's own spirit and realize everyone has a spirit. my question is where do our minds and spirits and souls go when we leave our meat suits. That to me, is a complete mystery. I am an electrical engineer and read Dawkins and many other publications. I won't know until i know, that's how I deal with GOD. GOD exists to me as the thing that fights men's WILL. God sends cold, man builds a house and heats it. GOD sends heat. Man invents AC to fight against God's, or "nature's" WILL. It is a constant battle of survival between nature's will and man's existence, i think. Put it this way, God pisses me off everyday.🤣

It's unfortunate he doesn't believe in God. Very unfortunate.
