Sergeant Vance, my brother was wounded May 16th 1967 in operation Hickory. I haven’t watched your video yet. I’m a Vietnam combat veteran myself. I have a problem dealing with depression and anxiety from my time in Northern I Corps during Operation Lam Son 719 in 1971. My brother was hit by a mortar. He was a 60 gunner and his AG was killed by the same mortar as the one that hit him. They were just outside Con Thien when hit. He was E Co 2/26 marines 3rd division. He remembers Lt Kennedy being wounded. I don’t know if it’s the fact that I’m a veteran that spent so much time between Quang Tri and Khe Sanh but he has opened up to me about the day he was wounded. Trust me, one of the last things I ever want to relive is my time in Vietnam. He seems to enjoy discussing the day he was wounded in great detail. His name was John Garrison and I think his AG was Lcpl Owen Barry. Sir, I don’t know too many of us who weren’t affected in some way by our time in that place. Every day of my life memories of that time are at the front of my thoughts. And nearly every day my brother brings up his time. Especially that day he was hit by that mortar round. During my time in that area around Khe Sanh we spent a couple months dodging incoming rockets and mortars and were ambushed often out on QL 9. It was no place I’d ever want to go back to. So, now it’s time to watch your video. I hope you’ll understand if I don’t finish it but I’ll give it a Quick Look.

Thank you for your service and sacrifices SGT! I can agree with you even today on most of the things you've said. We need to make our country great first before we send out help to anyone else. We're all tired of greedy corporations and politicians. I think all politicians should have served in the military. God bless America, and all the veterans that have served.

My father was in the Marines and in Vietnam a year later, I didn’t serve but I tried to enlist during “the surge “, I hope he gets in touch with the Marines who were wounded that day and I hope he can get some relief and closure from knowing that it wasn’t his fault. Mr Cappetto I would love to conduct some interviews I’m a history nut and I know a lot of veterans!

One of the best on social media. I’ve recommended Larry to Fox’s Patriot Awards a couple of times. Hegseth used to do it, but I think Hannity is doing it now. But, Larry has the award written all over him, but it will take more than just me to recommend Larry. So, I’m trying to get the word out to all of Larry’s fans to send Fox a short note recommending Larry.👍🇺🇸

My stepfather is a Marine who fought with Hotel Battery Artillery in 67! He's been my hero since my mother met him! I'm very fortunate to still have him around. Though his hearing is now shot from running 105s till the barrels glowed over and over again. The sad thing about his hearing going is his still a very sharp man but can't participate in conversations as he normally would if he's on the peripheral of the people holding it. He's gotta be right there by ya or it gets passed him. 😆 he's got a sense of humor about it which is what I love most about the old school guys. Foot in a bear trap?? Hell ya got another one! Quit bitchin😂😊

That is the big problem with Vietnam Veterans. One day they were in the bush killing people and the next day they were on their way home if they were lucky. They did not get any time to adjust to normal life.

I was "just stationed at Gitmo" in '66 for 4 months on Leeward Point, before going to RVN, came back from RVN in '67, assigned to a BLT for a Carrib cruise, came back to Lejuene, got orders for Marine Barracks Gitmo, did 9 or so months there got orders back to Lejuene in '69, took an early out in April '69.
