For anyone struggling with this method you can: 1. Use ring of Curses (Makes it way better) 2.Bring friends with rings of curses on them 3. Do this method in the eastern luminant, as the etrean luminant for some reason makes this event harder to spawn

Tips to anyone that want to farm for astral doing this method. 1. Don't travel too far away, I have reason to believe that event wont spawn if you're too far out into the void sea. I spent a little over 2 weeks hundreds of thousands of studs away and got nothing. Started farming right on the border (where the water turns white if youre on low graphics) and ended up getting astral in 3-4 hours. 2. Get food/carnivore/gluttony 3. Bring wood, and repair hammer. 4. I'm not sure if this is true or not but I heard that Vow Of Thorns increased spawn rate, I grinded for weeks on an animal king slot without Vow Of Thorns and ended up getting nothing, swapped to a Vow Of Thorns slot with no animal king and ended up getting it within 3-4 hours. Pretty sure that's just rng though. 5. If you want to afk this you can! and by afk I mean no mob aggro with no animal king, you still have to watch your food. Get all the stealth gear: Dark Owl Chapeau/Bloodfeather Cowl, Dark Owl Cloak, Dark Owl Cape, Duelist's Mask. And for armor you can use any of the 2 that give 50% stealth that being Navaen War Chief or Whaler Coat. Lastly for the talents, just get lowstride. For this to work you gotta crouch on a schooner right below the helm (or steering wheel if you wanna call it that). I sat under the stairs leading up the the helm. Mobs will rarely aggro you with this method, and if they do aggro you you can just ignore them and they will eventually go away, even kaido, during all my hours of grinding only 1 kaido aggroed me (pretty sure that was because he spawned inside of me). Not sure if this works with the obvious flaw 6. Ring of Curses 7. Don't afk on the helm/steering wheel, this will make your boat randomly tp, and will sometimes one-shot your boat and make it sink. If astral spawns, dont raise your sails to stop the boat, theres always a chance that your boat will tp away the second you do. Feel free to ask questions :3

@@AspiJoeStar It should still spawn with animal king, i saw some comments saying they got it with animal king. 17 hours is just the beginning, i farmed for a little over 2 weeks and around 120 hours

If u equip and then de-equip any blindfold it removes the fog making it easier to see the astral event, and make sure if ur doing the boat method u bring a repair hammer and 99 wood

Do the events need to spawned _exclusively_ from overworld travel? I've done two days of farming using kamui to force events, getting over two a minute, and haven't gotten the event to spawn yet. I've been very careful to never enter kamui until a new event spawns, either, so every event has been one of the other four.

​@@Zero-zv3iv put Bloodless gem on Warden Blade and Round spark on Ice Carve. Bloodless keep you alive incase you get hit alot and with round spark speed buff you can easily get behind kaido and not get hit. if all of this cant help then you have skill issue. Also one more advice which usually a perm freshie dont know, you need to have a safe distance where it cant hit you with claw swipe but you can still hit it with your mantra/M1. if you get too close to his back he can still hit you. Tbh an easy way to deal with this is just log as you see the bubble.

​@@AsphaltCake i might make a vid on this (never made a yt vid before (edited at least)) but a quick run down is grim makes the enemy TAKE 20% more dmg. this means that both your base weapon dmg AND your modifiers will be taken into account. If you perfectly use this feature you will get a 41% dmg boost when grim is procced. (cursed technique: yapping)
