Sir, You are a Great Teacher. It took your just two videos to understand the whole idea of the Voids in CCP and BCC Structures. Sir is a Great Teacher. One of the Best.

Hello sir .I have one doubt .whether interstitial sites and voids are the same meaning ?
@introductiontomaterialsscience4 жыл бұрын
Voids act as interstitial sites.

Sir actually the number of tetrahedral and octahedral voids in HCP unit cell [4 and 2 respectively] . HCP fallow the ABABABA close packing how they form Octahedral void ?
@introductiontomaterialsscience4 жыл бұрын
Consider an A and a B layer. Focus around a common C site. Around this C site there are three atoms in the A layer and three in the B layer. These 6 atoms define an octahedral void.

Sir, as there is a octahedral void on each edge centre of a CCP crystal, is it that the corner atoms donot touch each other in an ideal CCP crystal? In other geometrical derivations it is considered that atoms are touching along the unit cell edge.

Sir..I ask a question for you. How are you choose no of atoms in the unit cell is 4?sir please explain.
@kancharanasureshkumar4 жыл бұрын
@R.K Raj Sir It's not that no of atoms in the unit cell are 4, since a tetrahedral void is present between 4 atoms it's taken like that...
