This one was much more than a glimmer of hope, which was almost cut short by that EVA bounty who was a heinous bullet sponge. Good thing he couldn't fit an original junkworks ship in his face. I think you outdid yourself a little bit with the cinematic intro, which also happened to be a great psych out for the Halo theme. What was that song anyway? You have a void-tastic holiday or else, and don't worry about missing much 3.18 ptu, it's not like they are going to rush it out early, right?...save yourself!

Try running all gimballed repeaters and aiming with a mouse in manual gimbal. You can literally shred light fighters. You can fire way off keel, it's actually insane. I normally run sticks and pedals for pvp, but switch to pedals stick and mouse for the Corsair in pvp for this reason. Just aim and shoot

Very true, also, I took mine to a bunker, destroyed 1 turret really easy then shot another one for about a solid 30 seconds whereby the corsair blew up instead 🤷🏻‍♂️

the corsair may have a lot of fire power but as we have seen before many times they over tune a ship to then nerf it when the next one is out. Exmaples: -Prowler, when the prowler first came out it was evaporating everything with its two size 2 medium shields and sabre like manuvering, status today: handling is like a truck, main weapons size reduced (i think) -Sabre:used to have 3 size 1 shields , status today: 2 shields like everyone else. -Ares:used to belt everything down even fighters, status today: can't hit the broad side of a barn. -Freelancer MIS: uised to melt everything with it's vast array of missiles and 4 size 3 weapons , and 2 size 2 shields as well as miltiary components.status today: missiles sorta kinda suck.so the ship has lost its charm. -600i:used to be one of the vest solo ships with huge amounts of missiles., size 3 shield ability to mount vanguard turrets on it and large amounts of hull hp current status:missiles suck, not able to mount turrets anymore, has less hull HP than a cutlass black technically any engagment with ballistics results in instant destruction. -890j:used to be indestructable with its capital shields , even size 9 torpedos couldn't destroy it. only if the 890 powered down or you manged to self destruct a free lancer inside its bay you could take it down status today: a cutlass can make quick work of it. -Hammerhead:indesctructable at launch, current status : cannon foder , just a huge target flying around.decent with a full crew but also a big target ! in fleet battles they go down quite quickly/ -Redeemer:used to have lightning fast manned turrets, currently turrets move slow., still formidable ship but again nerfed. My prediction on the cutlass: they will reduce hull HP to the point where taking any fire is GG . or possibly make it even more slugish to fly around.

The secret spice in the Corsair's recipe is the cutest little dash fan in the 'verse. It's there to regulate your sweat when an ace player in a fighter is tagging you relentlessly from behind (giggity) and your Corsair lacks the nimbleness to shake him off. I think the Corsair isn’t really overpowered at all. It has insane firepower at the expense of shields and manoeuvrability. That’s a reasonable trade off - I blew one up with a Gladius when it took me on in atmosphere, so that shows it’s hardly truly OP.

the corsair isnt op, any light fighter with ballistics can immediately wreck one by targetting an engine, and its maneuverability puts it at a massive disadvantage same as a 600i the eclipse and tali can be considered much more OP, with the size 9 torps and the 4 turrets on the tali

I did a dog fight with a corsair in a avenger titan. The avenger was already smoking and almost blowing up from previous fights but I still ended up killing the corsair (and I'm not even experienced in dog fighting). Rented the corsair in IAE and I honestly don't see why people are excited. A massive and ugly ship that flies worse than the 890 jump.

I still don't get it why it is overpowered. Beside the two size 4 hardpoints / size 3 gimbled it has the same gimble hardpoints as the Connstellation series. And the Constellation series has more missiles. So where is the Corsair overpowered? You can only flight with fixed size 5 weapons against bigger, less manouverable ships but then you are helpless against smaller fighters. Beside that nice vid 🙂

Claiming the Corsair is overpowered is just click-bait. Redeemers, Retaliators and Hammerheads will tear it apart, and light fighters will wear it down while never leaving the large blind spot underneath..
