I have the 40mm 1.2 voigt, this lens looks awesome, losing 1/2 stop from the massive 1.2 35mm, plus u get the classic look

I didn't realize you had two channels. I watched all your videos this last summer while purchasing a trailer and learned a lot. Now your I see your on about cameras! Great videos and love the lens. I have the Sony a7Rii and a6000 soon will be a Leica M6. This lens will be great if I purchase in M mount and adapt to Sony. Also I have the Zeiss 35mm 1.4 so far its big but haven't been blown away with the performance.

Nice review! In view of the added cost of the Techart adaptor would you purchase again over the Voightlander 35 E Mount ($799)?

The e-mount version doesn't have autofocus either, and there's no way to get it. That's the main idea.

Nice setup, great video. Is it true that this adapter uses the battery even when the camera is turned off, and you'd have to remove the battery to prevent it from draining?

This is a great budget solution with auto focus. If you are into artsy video you should try the "SLR Magic Anamorphot 40 Compact" anamorphic adapter. The 40 Compact is one of the cheapest, bought new, anamorphic adapters and would work with this sensor size and focal length.

Oh wait that is a full frame sensor, you would need a 40mm lens.

You can buy the lense for sony e-mount too, but does that change the look? Or is it the same?

How is the AF in dimmer lit places like a bar or restaurant? Was thinking about this exact combo and then here is you video. Perfect!

Nice review. Please does anybody know if the M-mount Voightlander 35mm lens has problems at corners due to thicker low pass filter of Sony full frame e-mount cameras?

was this the si glue or multi coat version

Very nice lens. It will be great for my Sony a7 camera. I have the Sony Zeiss 35mm f/2.8 which is small and not bright with f/2.8. I want something even smaller. Unfortunately there are no pancake FE full frame e-mount lenses. I only worry if the voigtlander has soft corners at f/1.4 because I won't use it just for portraits.

How is the techart pro AF adapter for video? Does it work in AF-C mode? Can it track and follow slow moving subjects? Does it work at all? Is it better than nothing? Thanks :)

woww.. i never knew there is an autofocus adapter for M mount lenses?!?@#? i wish they make one for fujifilm cameras. now i'm seriously considering getting a sony just for that.
@Chris-ey7zy3 жыл бұрын
Sony full frame. Takes advantage of full lens. Plus you can put adapter to canon Fd and Nikon aperture lenses to Leica m mount and make them autofocus too
@miklosnemeth85663 жыл бұрын
... exactly, and since you can adapt this adapter on Z6 and Z7 cameras its versatility is huge. If you have Nikkor AI or AFD lenses this adapter is far more versatile than Nikon's own FTZ adapter.

autofocus adapter is a waste of money. It is perfectly easy to focus with any decently serviced MF lens, particularly voigtlander given their excellent build quality. You also lose the MF advantage of prefocusing. Retrofitting AF to a MF lens sounds like buying a convertible then building a roof for it.

I choose this lens because it has character lol
