We can thank the metal gods for giving us Dan. This is like a fairy tale come true. A fan who essentially learned to play his instrument by learning VoiVod tunes inheriting the band that inspired him to play in the first place. A synchronous event that could only be pulled off with intentional force. There is a grand design, this is proof. Piggy is behind it all. Thankful for us we have some great new music to show for it…

Not sure about the design of it but over here in Québec, very early on, everyone felt like Dan could join Voïvod on second guitar. How great it is to see him keeping Piggy's legacy going while contributing great new music to the band he loved so much.

@@c.h.u.d sadly Piggy passed I believe in 2005 if I remember correctly. I felt gutted hearing the news back then. An absolutely unique and brilliant musician that did what very few but only the best musicians on the planet can do, create an identifiable musical language unique to them. A very short list of players have accomplished this in a lifetime, Allan Holdsworth is among that short list. The beautiful thing about Dan is he understands and speaks the VoiVod language fluently, so much so that even you couldn’t tell the difference…I love this band so much…

The four best voïvod albums are killing technology, dimension hatröss, nothingface and angel rat. The outer limits has some good songs such as Jack Luminous and Lost Machine,but some of the songs on it are gay sounding. So far this new album of theirs hopefully is back sounding early Voïvod

Great new music which kind of makes me a bit melancholic right now. Reminds me of long forgotten times when I drove through my hometown with this "Killing Technology" sticker on my car, it was 1988. One year before I saw VOIVOD on stage, kind of scared when I saw Blacky sitting on a barstool with his sidecut. Later I lost my interest, after Angel Rat, which not disappointed me but I was too hungry to discover lots of new, very different music. Exactly 30 later VOIVOD came to play a very small venue nearby and it was time to see them again. That night I spoke to Chewy and stood face to face with Snake shouting down the small stage. Again I was "scared" though I'm old now, some things never change. But now I know I always loved you, VOIVOD...

I have listened to Voivod since I Was 14 (Around time of Nothingface) , they continue to bring it again and again. While most bands from that era remain stagnant, Voivod continues to be inventive and unique. Chewy has helped reinvigorate this band since joining, he keeps the spirit of Piggy alive as well. He is very versatile and can play just about any style as well. The new bassist Rocky kicks ass too, one of the best distorted bass tones I have heard on an album.
