Our family recumbent trike tour vlog takes you with us, as we go on a summer adventure on two Steintrikes Wild One trikes and a trailer for two kids.

This second part of the tour takes us from Kanjiža, in the north of Vojvodina, toward the west of the country. On the way we visit some of the most beautiful lakes of our area, such as Ludaš, Palić, and Zobnatičko, as well as two very beautiful and historically important tows, Subotica and Sombor.
What's this tour about? So, it was summer 2020, and considering the epidemic situation with covid19, we decided to make a small loop and go for a trike packing tour around our region (Vojvodina, Serbia), which we called the Vojvodina Epi(demi)c Tour. As we discussed the idea, it occurred to me that my first ever cycle tour was very similar, following the rivers of Vojvodina, so we agreed that it would be a nice 10-year-anniversary of my first cycle touring experience to do a similar one. We did modify the original plan, in order to visit some of our friends and see some of our favourite places along the way.

Thank you for sharing. It's difficult for kids to adapt to long travels, but as you said, it's an important thing to experience too. Their generation may need to travel in a more environmentally friendly way (us too) than previous generations, so this is a good way to keep them bike/trike experienced

We couldn't agree more. We constantly try to raise their awareness of nature, our surroundings, our planet, and as they are still so young, to them all of it is also completely natural and logical. I just hope they don't lose it as they grow up (we will definitely try our best).

Fantastic videos and we really envy your ability to trike tour with your little kids. We ride trikes and have done 3 tours of Europe (2 on a tandem trike and one our our Azub single trikes). We are grandparents and wish we could take our grandkids on a tour like this in Europe. Wonderful to see the great cycling in Serbia and it has us thinking that maybe one day we will get a chance to ride there. You do excellent videos as well!

Thank you so much for your comment! We can only recommend trying such a trip with kids, it's definitely something special to do as a family. As for the bike lanes, I think we are in a similar problem, around here if you want to go out of town you have to go on regular roads, which can be scary, especially with the kids. This year we are hoping to go for a tour in a safer environment, with bike lanes, so that maybe the kids can also ride for themselves (this depends on many factors, including the epidemic situation in a couple of months). So impressed with your city centres - pedestrian areas and squares - and the fact you can cycle around them. A question - the area you are cycling through seems quite flat - is that just me or is it? I guess if it is flatlands then the winds would be noticeable. Thanks for taking us on your trip.

Thank you very much! 😊 The region where we live is called Vojvodina, it is the northern part of Serbia, and you are right to notice that it is almost completely flat. It belongs to the Pannonian plain, which used to be a sea long long time ago, up until the water broke the Carpathian mountains and the Danube continued its way to the Black sea. It is also often quite windy!

Thank you! We are from Serbia, so I guess we have very different options for getting shoes and in fact all accessories around here than you have over there. My current shoes are Scott SPD MTB/offroad shoes, that allow me to still walk when I get off the trike (unlike road bike SPD shoes). I hope that your trike has arrived and you are already having fun riding 👍

Thank you for the critics. We recently realized the same thing - that we overused the fast forward option in the first videos, and in the newer ones we stopped using it altogether. We are very new in filming and editing and so we value all feedback. I will use the opportunity to ask, which would you prefer in that case: A) Cut only a short scene from it, or B) just let it all on normal speed, doesn't matter if it's long.
