Periava sharanam. Namaskarams mami. I happened to hear ur this video where u said that when asked periava's advised ladies do archanai with pushpam and chant Srirama.till that day I was chanting Vishnu Sahasranamam and doing periava archanai with thulasi. I felt that I got the advice from periava himself as this video I happened to hear on Dec 6th 2018 a day I was to do Anusha pujai( after my husband finished tharpanam.) I took it as HIS sayings and consider that His advice was conveyed to me thru ur video on a day very auspicious to me.what else to say, as I hear periava videos at random and don't have any idea which one I am going to hear.this video I got to hear where such important message was conveyed.

Dear Uma Maheshwari Mami, It is interesting to note that ladies should not chant Vishnu Sahasranamam. Many people have this question in their mind, please do not think that we are doubting the authenticity of your discussion with MahaPeriyava. However, we all know that Vishnu Sahasranamam became very popular and famous because of One person only - Smt. M.S.Subbalakshmi. She was not only a lady but also a great devotee of MahaPeriyava. And hence we have reason to believe that she would have chanted it for recording only with the permission of MahaPeriyava. Do we have any reason why she was permitted to do, since you have studied and asked MahaPeriyava about chanting Vishnu Sahasranamam. There is reason to believe that there should have been some exception for her to have done it. Could you or someone throw light on this, if anyone knows about it. Thank you in advance.

Not just Paramacharyal..some sastrigal,upanyasa bhagawathars also mentioned ladies should not chant Vishnu sahasrsnamam which I was saying till then,offering Tulsi.MS was my source of inspiration. But MS did NOT agree to MahaPeriyava asking her to renounce silk..she said only for kutcheris I wish to wear silk saris.
