Isn't Death Note's quote actually from Kyrie Eleison? Kyrie is a prominent leitmotif in the soundtrack.

I hear this quote as a combo of the Dies Irae and Kyrie, almost like the former merging into the latter. I'll have to listen to more of the Death Note score!

@@celexo22 You might be right! If you look up 'death note main theme' or 'kira theme' the lyrics are straight up Dies Irae. As in, multiple parts of the original chant! I only discovered this after I went to see if Dies Irae is somewhere else in the sountrack. It indeed sounds like the two themes overlap a bit.

What about Once Upon a Time? I believe Dies Irae is a common theme they use at the end of the episodes

Oh my bad! I listened back and I inferred the main title theme which has four notes. I thought it could’ve been dies irae but I listened back and it unfortunately is not. The first two notes are the same but the last two hit the tonic and then the major seventh rather then back up to the minor third and then the tonic. My apologies! Feel free to check it out though by looking up Snow White and Prince Charming theme or the show title theme :) thanks!

@@celexo22 Have you thought about looking for the leit motif in games? I don't know if there is many, but Six's theme from Little Nightmares seems to be very similar to it. Along with the fact that it's a tragic character.
