Patricia McPherson and Rebecca Holden are both gorgeous ladies that's for sure. It's nice to see the cast having fun knowing it wasn't all strict and by the book acting. I always wished some of these older shows would do blooper reels or behind the scenes clips and put them on dvd's or something. That's part of these shows that viewers never really got to see when the shows were originally on tv.

Ugh breaks my heart to see those landings after a Turbo Boost. Seeing KITT fall apart like that just isn't right lol. Makes you wonder just how many KITT cars they blew through in 4 Seasons. Also would love to see behind the scenes footage of them making KITT transform into Super Pursuit Mode for the first time. The one scene of him Transforming that they show in almost every Episode of Season 4. How did they get the movable parts to pop out like that ?

The jumping cars used fiberglass bodies i think and super pursuit mode used heavy rams to pop out but the car engine was not inside the body

TV magic !! :) Then I guess in the episodes where they actually show Michael driving KITT from the outside in Super Pursuit Mode that car is built to always be in Super Pursuit Mode. It never actually changes back and forth. Although it would be cool if it did lol.

SPM: Every shot showing different parts popping out were filmed with a stationary car on a dino. There was another "Night version" too. They were shot in a way so that the footage can be reversed to end SPM.

Image is stretched out to 16:9. If you are doing more, worry about the height and pillarbox it, no distortion that way.

Easily the best show from the 80s, and thats really saying something. Hasselhoff was awesome as Michael Knight. I hated super pursuit mode though🤣 it just looked so cheesy. They could have just had a cool spoiler pop up, and then just say RC boosted KITTS engine performance, to explain the higher top speed. Just the fact they rebuilt KITT at all was incredible. All they needed to add was a spoiler.

@@mattayres371 When you see the cars disintegrating on impact, the editors didn’t use those few seconds of footage. They’d cut away to another angle, since every stunt is shot with multiple cameras. It’s too expensive to film something like a car jump twice and if any mishaps or mistakes occur, it’s up to those guys to work around those, piecing together what material there is to obscure that. The two here that show the most damage (from Season 2’s ‘Soul Survivor’ and Season 3’s ‘Lost Knight’) are good examples, if you go back to those episodes and compare how they were “presented”. The magic of film & television...it’s all an illusion. It’s why they started using miniatures more, as that illusion was costing too much.

I find the SPM mode very exciting. But I've always wondered if it would make sense from aerodynamics perspective. The extended front spoiler would increase the slip of the front axle at high speeds and minimize directional stability.

It appears to be a bit of an oversight - it certainly is supposed to be presented in 4:3. I'd recommend watching it on a TV via a streaming device, then change the aspect ratio on the TV.

That was KITT's attempt at singing and making a musical sound. The episode from season 4 is when New Edition and a very young Bobby Brown sang Count me out. KITT was interested in the sounds and tried to impersonate it.
