When I heard Earl Scruggs playing Flint Hill Special it inspired me to take up the 5 string banjo. Over 40 years later, i have no regrets. Thanks to God and Earl.

Scruggs is so good he can hear if a string is out of tune and can fix it while playing

it just blew my mind. You usually tune your strings before playing but he was doing it while playing.

Never knew about them having had a TV show. Just been listening to the CDs. Great stuff. edit: Wait a minute, I wonder if the bluegrass group "Hot Rize" named themselves after that Martha White product due to having watched this when they were kids.
