I feel like they're testing the waters with heavier vocals. We saw a bit in Witness, and even more here. I think if the heavier style gets good reception they may lean into it more and we'll hear even more harsh vocals in the next album.

I hate that I've been losing hearing since I first heard this band...which was ironically just last summer. Getting harder and harder to hear words, pitch, tones, dB layers etc. But my god I know this shit sounds amazing...it's just like someone watching you in the dark and the hair on the nape of your neck stands up. I just wish I could be a part of this with 100% clarity. It's been such a long time since my time exploring music as diligently as I used to but there are so many parts of this song that reminds me older artists and I'm so here for it. It's both wonderful and triggering cause it reminds me of better days. But thats what music should do regardless of the situation, evoke something within you.

Seen these guys live this week in prague.. they CRUSHED. especially the heavy parts just f@cking crushed. And the new album is just genius. There is not a single weak moment there, everything is right where its supposed to be. Put them on headphones, play it loud, so you can hear all the brilliant electronic layers and arpegios and stuff.. the most underrated band in metal right now.
