I have the same one and man I'll tell you, I was able to fly it the very first time. I've never flown a rc airplane before and even I was able to do it, it's so light so it's tough built too. Had a couple tree landings and no harm done lol I'll learn, but this is perfect for me. Awesome video! I learned alot

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I bought one of these in part due to your review. I spent about 50 bucks for mine. I could have spent more on something else but why? I LOVE this little plane. Hope you are staying warm in your new location (it's winter now as I am writing this). Thanks for all you do.

I love your videos. I'm a huge fan of flying cheaper planes. Their fun to fly and can have many of them lol. I used to fly nitro planes a lot but now enjoy these smaller cheaper ones cause my kids get a joy of taking them to the park

This plane is great! The newest version of this model have a one-key return feature. You can set the plane in its take-off direction and set the one-key return. Pressing the one-key return during flight will automatically turn the plane around and go back towards where it took off from. Another great feature is the propeller is designed to easily pop off during crashes to avoid damage. Between the 6-axis stabilization, the one-key return, break-away prop, battery life, the mode switch for stabilizers, and the EPP foam.....It's a great, easy flyer with a lot of durability. Great for casual flyers who want to just throw in a battery and fly without tinkering. I will say, you may want a decent sized field to fly in for maiden flights. With full stabilization and banking limitations, You'll generally be taking wider turns and you'll want plenty of room to avoid having to make last minute emergency turns if you fly too close to the tree line like I do 😁

Most planes do bank when using the rudder as well, it has to do with the inner wing slowing down and losing lift

Quite amazing to get 15 minutes on 180mah battery. Nice little flyer. It is very standard for a 3 ch. (throttle, Rud. & Ele.) to be set up with throttle only on left stick, and Rud/Ele on right stick. Rather than have to throw up 'corrections" to your initial description of the controls, you might consider the next time, when editing, to detach and delete your original audio, and then do a voice over narration with the correct description. Since this one has Elevator, the best way to loop it in "expert" mode would be to pitch it down (Elev.) into the wind, the give full throttle and pull back on the elevator, holding the wings level with the rudder. This one seems like it would be ideal to shoot "touch and goes" with, since it has a nice long flight time. Must have been a pretty windless day, because I don't think that little bird could handle much more than a 5 mph breeze outdoors. For the price, its an excellent little flyer. Thumbs up! Cheers.

Also if you would bother to raise your antennae you would get the best range. Your antennae are folded flat. What are you thinking?

@Quadcopter1018 жыл бұрын
This one. It flies as long as the F939, plus it has 6 axis stabilization. You can turn off the stabilization if desired to do stunts. Here's another flight that I did with the Volantex kzbin.info/www/bejne/f2OolKmVjt1nbLM

Does flying such a craft with all this stabilisation detract from any of the fun when compared to flying an older tech , harder to fly plane ? ... Many thanks for the video : Thumbs up :)

i know you did this review a while back but i am curious, i am asking this of a number of reviewers re the mini trainstar (£50 ish uk) vs xk a600 (£90 ish) vs hobbyzone champ (£80ish) have you any experience of how they compare to one another?
@Quadcopter1014 жыл бұрын
Haven't tried the Hobbyzone. But here's the trainstar kzbin.info/www/bejne/f2OolKmVjt1nbLM and here's the A600 kzbin.info/www/bejne/rnm3mHumo7Broc0 Of the two, I like the A600 best. It's very stable even in gusty wind.

Nope. But the protocol for this has recently been hacked for the 4in1 multiprotocol module radios.
@oldasa5 жыл бұрын
your must not be aware that a rudder and elevator only plane has its rudder control on the right stick. moving side to side with the left stick is useless because it doesn't control anything. Because of the dihedral of the wing a rudder movement is all it takes to rock the plan into a turn. A little up elevator as you turn will keep you nose up in a turn too.

@Quadcopter1015 жыл бұрын
Before turning on your transmitter, try first turning on your plane and plane and leave it undisturbed on a flat level surface. This calibrates the gyros. Then leaving the drone on the ground, turn on the transmitter and bind it to the airplane.
@MrMartin08155 жыл бұрын

I suspect the transmitter could be converted to 4 channel in which case the left stick would control rudder and the right stick the ailerons . The company probably use this transmitter fro a 4 channel model .

Do you know where you can buy batteries for this plan? I noticed the size 43, 11, 5 mm but I was sure the 200 mah at 53, 12, 6 mm would work. I didn't find any with these 180 mah. Thank you.
@Quadcopter1018 жыл бұрын
The battery bay dimensions is about 53 x 16 x 6mm. But it's edges are foam, so you can cut out any additional length needed. Just make sure that the battery connector is micro Losi (like Syma X5C and many other toy quadcopters use).
@Flyawayin20238 жыл бұрын
Not finding batteries for this little guy. If someone on your channel has a good recommendation. Please post a link. Thank you for the review, I did order one and now hoping I'll be able to buy additional batteries. Thanks for all you great reviews.

Yaw will induce roll in any aircraft which has dihedral. This is because in a yaw , so long as the wing has dihedral, the advancing half of the wing will have a higher angle of attack (and thus more lift) than the other half of the wing . This is not true of a wing which has no dihedral - for that wing both halves of the wing still have the same angle of attack regardless of yaw.

I think that you've got the rebranding the wrong way round there Pardner. Volantex (previous called Lanyu) have been making these for many years. They are available on Ebay/Amazon and many other outlets under a lot of rebrand names - including Sonik Aviator 400.
