And I can't say I love the lack of subtleness and the heavy-handedness of the themes being touched on this season. I hope we get back to earth and away soon cause this doesn't feel like young justice.

Chameleon Boy transformed into Beast Boy’s Ma'alefa'ak form in order to lead the others to find Superboy faster, since Beast Boy had already gotten far ahead of them. Prince J’emm just found Beast Boy relatively quickly after bringing Superboy onboard. Saturn Girl (at least in the comics) is not related to any Martian, she’s from a telepathic species known as Titanians.

I don't think she's a Miss Martian kid, but given that the Martians in-comics had colonies on Saturn that somehow have nothing to do with the human-looking Saturnians Saturn Girl comes from, and Saturn Girl has psychic powers, Miss Martian's brother is trying to murder two thirds of Mars, and Prince Jemm in the comics is the leader of the Saturnians... I think there's a real chance Mars gets fucking gene-nuked this season and the survivors settle on Mars, and that Saturn Girl might be a descendant of Miss Martian and Super Boy.

I'm saying that I don't think Young Justice randomly picked out a telepath from the moons of Saturn to be a part of the Legion Trio when the Martians have ties to Saturn in the comics, when they're already reusing characters with ties to Saturn in positions of authority (Prince Jemm), and when we already have established cases of Martian-humanoid relationships. The reason I'm reaching like this is because the Young Justice writing team loves connecting dots like this. For example, they made riffed on Jon Stewart (Green Lantern) and Lynn Stewart (Black Lightning's ex-wife) having a shared surname and went "Well, now they're brother and sister" just to add that little bit of world-building to the show. I could be completely reaching here with this theory, but it'd be an interesting way to tie things together and help explain why the Legion is involved with Mars right now. It could be a case of doing a closed time loop where they go back in time to make sure Saturn / Titan is colonized by the survivors of Mars after the attack.

M'gann's true form from season one always had a lot of coding in it I felt, bc they were saying things like "I don't do it for you, I do it for me" and "This is who I really am", and the villains basically threatening to out her from the closet. I'm glad they came back to it here, with the added context of how M'gann's identity is further complicated with her place between planetary cultures, and being an ethnic minority even among her family. Surprisingly heavy stuff, but it's handled in a nice way that isn't too preachy or obvious. Plus that it manages to be its own thing without being *too* similar to real-world topics

Chameleon boy shape shifted in the same "Ma'alefa'ak" form as beastboy and led the "search party" to the surface to catch up and find Superboy and Beastboy. If they didnt do that they would of never made it up on time and Superboy would of died. Also there's a time gap in between the Prince finding them and bringing them back to the bio ship. They just skipped out on showing us the scene. Plus, the Prince wasnt lost, he was just searching around blindly in the storm. He knew how to backtrack to the Bioship.

He mentioned he doesn't have mind manipulation or anything crazy like the other telepaths. All he can do is strengthen specific thoughts the individual already has, which is why he Brion being in a confused and panicked state was the perfect opportunity. Of course we don't know what the long term of being constantly exposed to him could do since Brion seemed to show regret at the end of S3 but the credit scene with Perdita last episode suggests he's fully gone after a year.

Saturn Girl has no relation to M'gann, it's weird wording but there's nothing to do with Martians in her origin at all in the comics so it'd be a random change. The Prince didn't get lost, he told them to close the hatch to let the ship's artificial atmosphere restore air to Superboy. He says he is going to look for BB so he just made them close it up so Connor could breathe, then he flew around a bit found the healed Gar and levitated him back to the ship

I hadn't thought of this before, but each of the Legion heroes has a different Martian power. Saturn Girl is a telepath, Phantom Girl can phase through solid objects, and Chameleon *Boy* can shapeshift. Just a reminder that Saturn Girl need Phantom Girl's help to phase through the rubble when the cave was coming down on them last episode. M'gann also recognized Saturn Girl's mental imprint when she scanned Gar's mind, but didn't put a name or face to it. She is clearly someone she doesn't know.

Now her family finally accepts that what was INSIDE does not match what she was on the OUTSIDE. ........ This arc is covering various aspects from racism, bigotry, skin color, gender, etc. I didnt even mention the aspect of pushing the hate onto your loved ones who dont understand your feelings and pain. Specifically the "I was kid, too". Its easy to pass the bottled up hate and negative feelings to other, but it's unfair and serves no positive purpose. Roshi and Lupa definitely figured it out. But its such a tricky thing to "speak on", which is why Roshi was very careful when he said "did you get that?"

Beast Boy being attack by a Martian mob in the previous episode is both mentioned and seen through flashbacks. Miss Martian confronts her sister about her name change, which she found out in "Inhospitable". Miss Martian argument with her sister reminds her of her argument with Ma'alefa'ak in the previous episode. Beast Boy fears how Forager will react to Bio-Ship's retirement. I just realize despite lupa knows dc characters well but not legion of superheroes or justice society that much. I assume he became a dc comic reader during new 52 (2011 to 2016) run of dc right? That one the legion of superheroes was almost non existent and justice society is vastly different when they were on earth-2 comic compare fo their original versions. Wasn’t till rebirth (mid 2016 to early 2021) run they show signs of the original legion and society returning and that finalize in the doomsday clock story when dr Manhattan fixed the timeline.

Chameleon boy (who is not forager) just made himself look like the dog thing to help j'emm find superboy since BB got mad far from the bioship, and unless they change shit from the comics for the series saturn girl isnt martian or related to any. Im surprised lupa couldn't fill you in on some of the characters from the legion of superheros.
