56yr here, raised on Iron Maiden, Zepplin, Scorpions, AC/DC, MSG, UFO, later Metallica and others, 90s was hit and miss on Alt. some rock some shlock. 2k's mostly blah a few hooks. 10's mostly pure crap with a few gems. Then one day my local station put Volbeat on some good rotation, 2020, Covid-19 lock down had me Jamming way more and listen to stuff I didn't usually did, the tune, it seemed familiar for some reason...liked it, actively searched on internet and BAM! of course it sounded familiar, the singer from Clutch was guesting! LOVED it. Put in weeks of solid exclusive Volbeat, loving it all....where had this band been for the past few years..Damn been missing out, no longer!

As a guy who grew up in the 60's and 70's with those decades being so rich in the Hard Rock genres, it has been pretty much a wasteland for the last 20 years or so as no bands, with the exception of Doom Metal/Stoner/Space Rock acts have been really doing anything new with the music or evolving the genre . I have to say though I do enjoy Volbeat above any of the others in the current crop of Hard Rock. There is still a long way to go but these guys are keepers for sure.

Last year in early 2017, I heard this song on the radio but caught the ending so I could never figure out who sang it. Finally heard it again, memorized some of the lyrics and looked them up. I have never fallen in love with a band so fast. Saw them in Biloxi, MS that summer and it is still the best concert I have ever been to. Phenomenal performers. No other band compares.
