@ReaperKezia3 жыл бұрын
@Skip Mickmack lol maybe not in America. And slipknot has put out a few new songs this year. Tool is still huge. Metallica is still huge. If you want bands with KZbin view's look at European power metal. Those guys have well over 100 million view videos 🤷♂️
@ReaperKezia3 жыл бұрын
@Skip Mickmack Lorna shore has a song with over 5 mil view's & it came out only a few months ago. Ghost has a song from less than 2 months ago with well over 2 million views. Saying rock is dead is silly. Saying it's not setting any trends & isn't very popular is true in most places, especially the US. Pop music is simple & easy to sing along with. That fits the majority of human's needs for a quick fix of music. For those who like to dive deep into music & enjoy something more that's when other genres come into play.. It's basically a hobby at that point which of course will have a smaller pool. It's akin to the popularity of a mobile game compared to a console game. If you know anything about video games you'd know how stupid one would sound if they said Clash of clans is a better game than Dark souls or something solely because it's way trendier & popular with way more exposure.
@ReaperKezia3 жыл бұрын
@Skip Mickmack Agreed. I remember going to slipknot & SOAD shows at venues for only 1400 people before they hit it big. Now they are all that's left. Idk there are bands like Halestorm & especially Eluveitie who are basically the pop bands in European countries. Metal is HUGE in places like Finland, Sweden & Germany

Is so easy to love this band since it has that Metallica and rock & roll vibe!!! I remember when I first listen to Volbeat “warriors call”about 8 years ago, totally felt in love with this band!!

@jess cro Oh shit, I'm Canadian, so if you're talking about Avril Lavigne, you can count me in on the hate train! You'll be glad to know that an *actual* punk friend of mine laughed in her face a few years ago, when she told my friend, (who was working at IKEA at the time, and had a big pink mohawk), that she was going to close the entire shop floor for her so she could shop for a sofa in peace. My friend was just like, your sofa is worth all the sales we'll lose by closing the floor for you? Let's ask my manager about that... 🤣

It is such a rare thing in music to create a track with amazing melody and heavy as f...k at the same time. I only found Volbeat a year ago when I've heard that Lars Ulrich likes them. What an amazing band. Love their death metal version of Shotgun Blues also

What a record !!! Those heavy guitar riffs take you over instantly. Even little things like change of vocal tone on Faith and Gate. Simply awesome. Volbeat can do anything from Nu metal, Thrash and Death metal. Death metal version is not bad either.

The first time I heard this track, I thought my head was going to come off my body, so much that I headbanged. I really like the story behind 'shotgun blues'. In an interview Michael explained that when he bought his new house, paranormal phenomena began to manifest themselves and were only be triggered when he was present. He was forced to call in a medium and she revealed that a young man who had died in a car accident had been living through him for over 30 years. I'm very sensitive to these phenomena, and the first time I saw Michael in a video, I immediately perceived his sensitivity to the afterlife.

I got into metal relatively early. When I was 6 years old, I was already listening to AC DC. At the age of 7 it became too harmless for me and I became a heavy metal fan. My favorite bands from then on were Metallica, Volbeat and Slayer. My taste in music became harder and harder. Now I'm 13 and only listen to Pro Pain,Slayer,Volbeat,Slipknot,Metallica,Pantera,System of A Down and other stuff. I love my Heavy Metal!
