Nice video - I battled with voles for 3 years, while I found this and stuff like it worked short term, it didn't prevent them from coming back.The only way I got rid of them completely was by building a bait trap out of PVC pipe and putting poison in it. Hope you get rid of them, they are a real pain in the butt. Happy New Year
@TheLawngestYard3 жыл бұрын
Yeah for sure that makes sense. I plan on getting some traps and poison but with an open field right by the lawn it’s going to be tough to keep them out. Happy new year to you too.

@@TheLawngestYard Yeah I played nice, caster oil, smoke, sonic spikes...in the end death was the only way to get rid of them. I do still use stuff around the perimeter of my yard as my neighbors have them, and I'm not about to let them invade again lol

@@UrbanDadLife2024 definitely! Once you have them out of there you gotta keep them out. Well that just means I gotta get lethal in the spring haha

@Gelo202 it’s Mike max from Home Depot. I think the main ingredient is Castor oil.

When I moved into my current house, I had a serious vole infestation. It is much easier to put out bait traps and change them frequently. You put the bait traps right near the entrances to their tunnels. I never find the bodies. They eat the poison then they die of internal hemorrhaging in their burrows.
@TheLawngestYard4 ай бұрын
That is a great way to do it! I could see how that would work really well.

You can def see a tunnel at 1:47. I am assuming it was in the summer?
@TheLawngestYard Жыл бұрын
Yes you’re correct! They were there for a long time. Lot of tunnels

@@TheLawngestYard thanks! I think I saw one outside in my yard. Can’t tell if it’s a mouse or a vole but I set up a bunch of traps where I think could be their burrow. No holes, no tunnels to date. I just noticed the little one 2 days ago so it’s probably very recent.
@TheLawngestYard Жыл бұрын
Ah I see... that's good that you don't have tunnels yet. I think you can use the product that I used as a "just in case" as well. Feel free to throw it around your perimeter and keep them away.

I understand watered-in but what about chickens? There will definitely be some granules that don’t dissolve; will the chickens be ok because they eat any little morsel.

Is it safe to use straight in a vegetable garden?
