I think shield bash is so good with this build. Sure demolish is nice for plates but shield bash has so much value with fimbulwinter and E.

Shield bash is good for sure, I still favor demolish because voli wants to snowball his lane. Taking extra towers and tower plates helps you get to your items /power spikes wayyy faster.

1.plate gold spent on core items leading to earlier spikes will always outperform shield bash. 2. demolish adds obscene ammounts of pressure when it comes to sidelaning. conclusion: shield bash is only acceptable if you are never going to split push and you are not touching the enemy tower pre 14.

Yeah but the idea with the items are that they are so cheap you might aswell abuse that fact further with plates because you can spike way faster thanks to them then you could for other items.

Ingenious Hunter is crazy, I'm starting to use it on Renekton and it makes items like Sky and Eclipse nuts haha. It also gives Gage a 40s CD which is pretty insane

Thebauffs's Jarvan build is also of the same build, but the free shield from his W makes him a much better team fighter with more direct CC to the ememy's ADC. Volibear is indeed broken atm but if he gets banned/picked, try out this alternative

This build is also very good with champs that has constant shields and source of healing from attacking the enemies. I do not know which champions do accomplish this as Volibear, the only one that I tested was Morgana, and it was really broken, 5k hp, 400 ap, and in a tf I triggered Shield Bash 4 times against a feed Smolder, even with True Damage I still tanked a lot without dying.

I think he'll probably play very similar to Beifeng, who he's done multiple videos of. Although It could be worth it to make a new video since a lot's changed since those videos, but the overall strats are probably going to be quite similar

@@jinimini9000 Probably, he's very very patient and knows exactly when to make a play, that's one thing that rly separates him from other OTPs on the server. Also EUW is kinda different from CN/asian servers as I feel people there are way more aggressive and play more mechanical champs, so in contrast it's interesting to see how he can get leads in some bad matchups.

I've seen some people take shieldbash with this build. Its an interesting alternative. If you think it might be difficult to get demolish value for plates, shieldbash is pretty good. I've always seen champ with SB having like idk, 400 dmg with it at the end of the game (which is ok). But with this build on this champ, i've seen some stupid results after game. I'm talking about like 1.2-1.5k dmg ONLY from shieldbash, which in all honesty is absurd but also kinda funny x'd

Aside from early Despair, It's the same as the Baus Yarvan build (which is said he has copied from someone else?). Overloading on shields with ingenious hunter, interestingly not shield bash but Demolish is probably way too valuable since you bully well early game.

Commented this on a Ability Haste Maokai with the same idea: What other champions could use this tech? Looking through Top Laners maybe: Jax, Malphite, KSante, Gragas, Sion, Tahm Kench, Udyr, Poppy? Not sure if champs like Poppy have enough damage to go for it though.

I'm still sticking to a Chinese Volibear build and they came up with another one already (The Chinese Build: Gauntlet + Ionian Boots + Cosmic Drive + Frozen Heart + Whatever else you need)

You can also opt into Anathema's Chains first against most toplane matchups. Makes them completely unable to 1v1 you and later on you just swap it to whoever is most fed. Rfitmaker instead of Cosmic Drive is great to play into HP synergy if you don't need the movespeed from Cosmic Drive.

I played a lot of Volibear for months because there was a Chinese voli main in high elo (I think). He played a different play style. I actually prefer his way. I copied his playstyle and it worked against everyone but Darius and Ranges. Pta / nimbus velocity Flash ignite Start Q, get prio Lvl 1 with passive, if enemy attacks, auto Q auto proc pta Go for solo dive when Lvl 3 and enemy 2 Aggressive Edit : just tried this build, everything I said is wrong, zombie voli all day. Most dmg while 0 dmg item. 250k mitigated dmgs. It actually feels like you can't die. So fun
