Most people know Volker for his Einstein brand, what many people don't know that back in the days Volker was a HiFi distributer as well (before he startet Einstein) and he brought a lot of legendary producs to Germany nobody had heard of before. He brought Rega to Germany, and Nytech and even Roksan and JM Lab (Focal today) and AMC, the legendary Bartolomeo and a lot more. So Volker's HiFi history always was about finding great-sounding Products that are affordable for normal people. Even the 1st Einstein integrated amp back then started with a price tag around 3000 DM and have a look inside and you get nuts, it is so well made and it can easily compete to this day. Sure Einstein today is super luxury as-good-as-it-gets HiFi there is no doubt but Volker always had a high appreciation for budget HiFi and he never looked down on affordable producs.

Great interview. Mr. Bohlender strikes me as an authentic (no BS) type-of-guy. I appreciate his system-approach. Few companies are able to do what Einstein does. Great stuff!

Absolutely spot on! Getting the 'speakers to couple to the room (and room treatment) is the most important thing. I moved in to a new apartment recently and my system sounded absolutely terrible until I sorted out a lot of problems with the room and found the right place for the 'speakers.

Absolutely we do! Fantastic idea. I knew this would happen, I remember being at the Munich Hifi show last year and, the listening room of Einstein had that same vibe as your vieos. it was more about sitting down, listening to differnet records. I even remember Volker talking more about the records he was playing than about his system.

I’m with Volker on cables, a meter of mains cable costing many hundreds when there are miles of cheap cable behind the sockets and walls of your house. Thank you to you both for a very informative and interesting video.

Yaaawn …this argument is as old as mankind…but still bullshit! With this comment you tell the world that you have never tried it yourself but rather take over other peoples opinion (who also haven’t tried it). Ridiculous

Volker, Thank You for the additional information. Your philosophy Less is More toward high-end audio is intriguing as it's all about producing the best audio quality. In adition, yes, a stream covering more in-depth details with question and answers would be welcome !

I like this guy’s approach to audio quality and characteristics of what reproduced sound should sound like(at least to his ears). I share similar view minus the budget. 😂 Yes, we (I) want to see you. Always happy to learn a thing or two from people who care about sound quality and music enjoyment.

I can appreciate the acknowledgement that the hi fi end of the hobby has lost it's way to some degree. After obsessing over this stuff for many years, the current state leaves me with a lot to be disired. This gear looks beautiful and I'd like to see you contribute to the channel every so often.

Volker appears to be a very cool guy, down to earth, not pretentious, and with his focus on what matters most: the music and reproducing it as accurately as possible via his beautifully engineered equipment.

I’d love to see Volker on a livestream. He seems like a truly genuine person that really cares about his products and isn’t out to make a quick buck using other peoples designs and sticking his name on them. You can tell he really cares. I’d like to hear his thoughts on phono preamp designs, amplifiers, speakers, etc. Thank you, Michael and Volker.

1st time here and I've got to say the comment on speaker placement is one most folks don't understand and is a simple thing to do. The room is a bigger problem however unless one has the dollars to dedicate to a listening space the best advice is "stop buying too much speaker for your small space (14ftx28ftx9ft is small in acoustic terms)"!!!
