if he had gone even further back in time, he would have had to tell how the usa and england infiltrated the german empire. At that time, Germany was a welfare state that even Americans would dream of today. The true "land of the free". The German Kaiser didn't want to get into the Wall Street Monopoly, so he had to be put out of the way. Later, Hitler was brought to power with dollars and pounds, forces in Russia were also financed. (What, Hitler too? Yes, just like Zelenski today!) A coming together of German innovation and Russian raw materials was to be prevented then as now. Germany is still under American occupation ( SHAEF ) and all political decisions are not made by sovereign Germans, but by your deep state. When I travelled in Chile, the locals told a different story. I was a huge Pispers fan and was shocked when most people called Allende and not Pinochet "the Dictator". Pispers has a huge left wing bias. Chile under Pinochet become the least violent and by far the richest country in South America. Left wing dictatorships in Latin America killed by far more people than Pinochet. Even Human Rights Watch "only" talks of 3000 death in 16 years. FARC in Columbia killed 400,000 people, Castro killed 16% of Cubans, Chaves in Venezuela tens of thousands. Choosing the least violent and most successful dictator of South America as a negative example in of itself is hardcore left wing bias. His Mohammad Mossadegh story too just ignores the mob using violence in Iran to change the constitution and Stalin's tanks standing 50 km from Tehran.

Volker Pispers is a German political cabaret artist. Most of his performances were targeted at Germany/ the Germans, but he did branch out into other issues as well. Sometimes he used slight exaggeration as a linguistic tool to emphasize - but in 30 yrs on stage, his quotations, data and information have always been well researched, accurate - and verifiably true. (This show-clip is from almost 20 years ago. He retired from stage a few years ago.)

Pisper retired because he got tired of seemingly saying the same things over and over. The names, places and dates changed - but the underlying issues didn't. And still don't, actually. Just the fact that you can watch this old clip and somehow it's still current says it all.

@@sun_up Yes- very true. The sad thing about Volker Pisper's explanations and admonitions on stage has always been that they still apply, no matter in which year you watch them. Even 5, 10 or 20 years later: different date, but still the same sh*t going on. The names of politicians etc. change over time, of course - but the social, economic and political issues remain the same.

US has laws that require them to make information public. Any citizen can request that information and they will give him honest data. They just managed to create a culture where no one bothers to ask and everyone assumes if there's something they should know, the media would tell them. They are hiding it all in plain sight. From the CIA having experimented on citizens with LSD, but without their knowledge or consent to the military accidentally dropping nukes on US soil multiple times... From support of terrorists all around the world to assassinations of democratically elected leaders. They admit it all. Just no one asks and no one makes a big deal about it.

Bit of German Politics Background from the time: Gerhard Schröder: Chancellor at the time. Schröder was a Member of the Social Democratic Party, a moderate socialist party and one of the two largest parties in Germany. He rulead together with the green party, so there was a lot of hope in progressive circles, that things would really change for the better. But intead he turned out to be the cliché of the sleezy rich politician. He really gave in to the needs of big corporate and fancied dicatorships like Russia. Not a perfect comparison, but think of someone like Bill Clinton. Edmund Stoiber: Member of the Christian Union the largest conservative party of germany and main rival of the Social Democrats. (Tecnically there are tho parties forming the Union but honestly who cares). Stoiber tried to replace Schröder as Chancellor and failed. He was a hard right winger and very religious. (Thats why Pispers calls him the Bavarian Āyatollāh). He came from Bavaria, the southern part of Germany with very unique culture a very remarkable accent, clothing which is very religious and very conservative. For the relationship of Bavaria and the rest of Germany think of Texas, for Edmund Stoiber think of someone like Ted Cruz. Angela Merkel: At the time of the video opposition leader, later our Chancellor, after she won over Schröder. She is also a member of the Christian Union but more moderate than Stoiber. She spent her youth in the GDR (the socialist Dictatorship in Eastern Germany) an a lot of her early marketing was centered around the fact, that she was a Cristian Conservative, despite her upbringing in a socialist Dictatorship. She was often mocked for that because in her time in the GDR, she was never the rebellious type but fell in line and just right at the time of the downfall of the GDR joined a conservative, democratic movement. Some GDR background: The GDR fell in 1989/1990 due to the downfall of the UDSSR but also because of a lot of peaceful protests from within. The fact, that a dictatorship was ended peacefully is very important for the modern German identity (it's even ou national holyday), this is why he mocks Merkels "dictators only understand violence" quotes. Erich Honnecker was for a very long time the de facto dictator of the GDR. Some Wordplay Background: ""Vom deutschem Boden darf nie wieder Krieg ausgehen." or English "Never again a war must be started from Germany" (literally "from German soil") is a famous slogan from after WWII, because, you know, we were the bad guys i this one. When Pispers says ""Never again a war must be started without Germany", referring to our armsdealing it is a play on words withe the word "ausgehen". "Ausgehen" literally translates to "going out" and depending on the context can mean "to start" or "to end".

Somehow everyone is doing reactions to this guy. I guess he was always for a more adult audience. I never heard about him when I lived in Germany, but maybe thats because I only lived there till I was 16 and didnt pay attention to this type of comedy. But he spills facts. I would say these facts are a part of it why the majority of the world dislikes the US next to Russia in a political sense. The US , ofc not always alone, did some crappy stuff and why certain places are a hot mess in this day and age.

It's sad that you asked if this was true, I have an Iraqi friend who was 8 years old when they had to sneak out of Iraq, many of her family had already been killed, the British government got them out eventually and all because they were a different sect to Saddam, that was their only crime.

@@foreignreacts I shouldn't have said some of those things, I'm sorry for that, you are also trying to educate yourself from a background of misinformation that America pumps out to its people, that in itself is a huge step, we know that you are looking to move to Europe, I don't know the reason for this, but if I'm honest I honestly think that more Americans should at least see more of the world, travel is a wonderful learning experience, you get to see your own country in ways that you never expected or ever can without moving out of it even for a few weeks at the very least, I take my hat off to you for taking this step and I hope that everything works out well for you, there will be shocks but also fantastic experiences which you had never expected too, we all miss home at some point, go back to visit for a couple of weeks, you will probably find that you miss your new home, it will give you a boost of refreshed enthusiasm that you were missing. While in Europe travel to other countries, its quick, easy and not too expensive as everything is so close, it will give you a lift, even a few days away makes a new you, a change of scenery and culture on your doorstep makes a huge difference, a refreshed you with new experiences. He uses facts and the events he describes are pretty much what happened in an abstracted way. In all the cases he is talking about US involvement in support of dictators during the cold war era, he is spot on. These days the state of Israel has devolved into an apartheid state and has outright fascist parties in parliament. US support for them is very uncritical. It have been the many involvements in support of dictatorships and fomenting wars that have severely dampened the popularity of the US as a state actor. The banana republic antics of the Trump era have destroyed much of the goodwill left. Credit for Biden to pick up some of the pieces recently, but he may be a bit eager for the politics of it. Honouring Trumps deal with the Taliban was pretty bad after the Kurds in Syria debacle. Really Biden? The country you made in your image? So yeah,.. plenty of gripes all around the world. But we're still talking,.. nor without our blemishes. We tend to talk more about the bad stuff that happened a bit more.

Really have to mention that volker is often misunderstood. Many people take single parts from his "speech" and using them to justify their conspiracy theories. He right with all the facts he drop about the usa but at some point for example he makes a joke about the "personalausweis", your identificationcard, and says the word "personal" is meaning we are employees which is a synonym. This is a joke, the word personal comes from the latin word "persona", which means person; human. He left the stages cause of the people who misinterpret his shows. Thats really sad because he was, or is a really woke and intelligent guy who understands the connections of events in the history and the modern days society much better than the most.
