A$AP Rocky is a New York rapper, producer and actor born in 1988. He’s a member of the hip hop group A$AP Mob. He released his first mixtape Live. Love. A$AP in 2011 and got a record deal with RCA, Sony and Polo Grounds Music. He released his debut album in 2013, Long. Live. ASAP. Rocky’s frequent collaborators include people like Frank Ocean, Danny Brown, A$AP Mob, Juicy J and more. A$AP Rocky is an influential figure in the fashion communities as well as the hip hop industry. His 2018 album Testing is an experimental look at modern hip hop.

rocky is more ahead of his time than most rappers. testing is barely getting the recognition that it should've got years ago. even though it's not his best project, it is pretty impressive considering his mentor was not there to help him. in my opinion testing still bumps & I actually enjoy most of the songs till this day. I'm still waiting for him to drop. rocky is a very optimistic person when it comes to music. making songs like "the kids turned out fine" & "love$ick" proves he's more than a rapper. his sound is more expanded than we think. he's worked with underground artist such as "Blood Orange" (which is a musician from London). we can also see the influence that Tyler the creator has had on him & his more creative direction to things like fashion & music video production. no one can deny that rocky has left his mark in hip hop history. At first, after only hearing pesos and purple swag, I thought rocky was just going to be another generic, aint got shit to say rapper with dope beats, but the dude is a true artist. I recall watching the video for long live asap, and that's when it hit me that the dude had mad talent. His visuals, lyrical content, sound, style are all so refreshing and innovative. He is certainly ahead of the curve and a trend setter in many facets, you hit the nail right on the head. He is an inspiration, honestly. He is most certainly one of my favorite artists hands down. Testing -is a great album -has bangers thake make me feel energized, scared, relaxed, whole spectrum of emotions you go throgh in life. The album came out right after I graduated from high school and my big brother(who I love very much) got intro prison for violence against police officers. I was really enjoying escaping my mind at the time to create a path towards a peace of mind but was overshadowered by traumatic fears/depressed episodes. The album probably caused me to stay away from too much trouble and realize what has been going on my entire life and how the world is kinda fucked and now im healing still in the metamorphasis of becoming the man I want to be, When life would get rough would listen to Asap rocky and it would stabilize my mind in a way that led me on my path, and I knew I could turn negativ into positve. Man songs on that album resonated with me and gave me some insight/direction to question whta life is really all about. I dont really are if other people dont like but I think that album is just fucking amazing. It resonated with me a lot and I think it gave greater vison as to I what i need to do in life to
