Volkswagen Beetle clutch cable fix and adjust
Aaron and Dad went on a cruise and all of the sudden the clutch pedal in Ruby (1962 Beetle) just went to the floor. Not really having time to assess the problem and being close to home (the cruise went near our house) he limped it home and parked it in "broke down row" so named as every vehicle in the row currently has issues! Let's see if we can figure out what happened and fix it!

Glad you got it up and going, love it when they are simple fixes! Having a sidekick along the way makes the rides even better. I’ll have to look into those cubes, that thing is pretty cool.

yes always nice when it can be fixed for $1.19 ( that's what the wing nuts were when last we ordered them lol) the little camera did great and I think now that I kind of understand how it works the footage from it will be better the next time! One of the reasons I believe, I love Cars as much as I do; is my memories of riding with my Mother. She taught me how to use tools, make household repairs, etc. You knew if you saw my Father handling a tool, it was going to be a bad day. Teach your son, trust me he will remember!

Jeffrey Levin I learned all I know from THE best teachers...my dad and mom...but I absolutely loved being under the hood of a car with dad...we were ALWAYS wrenching on something...and I DID learn, just trying do half as good a job as they did! Thanks for watching!

a remember when a was kid a did allways fell to sleep in the car. a still do that if aim very tired and just sitting in the passenger seat,aim falling to sleep😁 good video

I hope this video helps me fix my clutch cable. Just recently bought a 1958 VW Beetle rat rod. Picked it up 11/05/2019 and the cable went out yesterday, 11/10/2019. Had to tow it back to my house.

I had the same exact thing happened to me a few months ago on my bus! Those Wing nuts are being made super cheap and it's sad. I wish they would just make Quality Parts. I ended up ordering one of those six shooter cable ends from airkewld

Ticks me off that the metal on those things seems to be like an aluminum composite r something...those should be some sort of hardened steel...needless to say I will be nabbing a few old ones at the FUN Fest swap meet in June! Thanks for always being so supportive!

I'm not sure I could ever drive a slammed one...this, as you know is the husbands car and we bought it already slammed...I do kind of like the look...but crazy low for not being bagged... DOES have Gabriele airshockers on the rear and adjustable beam (which I might add is ALL the way UP!) thanks for always being here DAN!

Whew, lucky it happened when it did, not in traffic, how about adding a second nut on the shaft to jam the wing nuton there???????? Threads look a little funky tooo.......

ger traba the older VW’s DID have a second nut, but didn’t have wing nut, wing nut has a taper to rounded ball like end and has two small burrs or tabs that kind of catch on the clutch arm...with the clutch pressure on it it really can’t back off...the old one just had zero threads at all and just slid off but yes maybe I SHOULD put a second one one there! Threads on cable look funky because they have never seize on them!
