Thank you so much, my trunk refuses to open when it's warm out and I had enough and was able to get it open to put some lithium grease on the latch. 🙏🏻 Hopefully that'll resolve the issue for a good while.

Awesome, thank you. My trunk camera gets stuck in the winter time so I just pull up and then put car in reverse backup camera comes on and then I park it. It resets everything. It does this when weather gets a bit cold and it gets stuck mid frame.

I sort of figured it out om my own, except I used a steel ruler that was wider then the VW key, because of the width of the slot. I pushed forward, then left and right, nothing The narrower key was the trick, so simple when you know. Thank You.

How about using a long and thin metal stick but make sure it is firm enough so it won’t bend. Shine the trunk with flash flight and try to reach it using the stick.
