Here, back in 2014, the Wolfsburg brand at last brought us a proper, purpose-built family-sized five-seat MPV offering properly purposeful advantages to justify its premium over the standard hatchback model. It's Volkswagen's idea of what a Scenic or a C-MAX should really be and if you're buying in this segment from this ear and want something with a really quality feel, you could find it hard to resist.

I have a 1.4 SE petrol version of the SV with the DSG gearbox. First VW I’ve owned in nearly 50 years of driving. Can’t fault it, does everything I want and with the seating position 9 inches higher than a standard Golf, getting in and out is much easier in my advancing years!

@@CarandDrivingCarReviews We’ve had VW’s in the family for years. Brilliant cars. Looked at the GTI and GTD for a while, but decided on the SV as we have 2 young children. The 2.0 diesel 150hp should be just enough to keep me happy 😃 😅
