The ID Buzz and ID. Buzz Cargo will be launched in the first European countries this fall; Advance sales are already planned for May. At launch, the European versions will start with a 77 kWh battery (gross energy content: 82 kWh). It supplies power to a 150 kW electric motor that drives the rear axle. The charging power when using alternating current (AC) is 11 kW. The charging power increases to up to 170 kW via a CCS plug on a DC fast charging station (direct current); the battery is charged from 5 to 80 percent in around 30 minutes. Like all models of the ID. family from Volkswagen, the new ID. Buzz and ID. Technically, Buzz Cargo is based on the group's modular electric drive system (MEB).
The ID Buzz drives into the future in a sustainable and efficient manner - and builds on the major strengths that Volkswagen Bullis have offered for a long time. The interior of the ID. Buzz is an "open space" with lots of space, extensive variability and a high level of comfort. At the same time, the model presents itself as a pioneering companion in the digital world: with a fully digital operating concept and innovative infotainment for the best possible connectivity. There are also technical details such as USB-C sockets on board, which passengers can use to quickly charge their smartphones, laptops, etc. with up to 45 watts of power. In connection with the clear design and the fresh two-tone, the ID. Buzz to the "digital living room" and enables a new dimension of e-mobility.

The designer bridges the gap to the classic: "With the T1, I'm practically sitting on the front axle - no front overhang. With all safety relevance and technology, the ID. Buzz super short overhangs. In fact, this is underlined by the fact that the compact overall length of 4,712 mm is matched by a relatively large wheelbase (2,988 mm). Even with the T1, the first Bulli, design followed function. Form follows function - this central tenet of automobile construction - also applies to the design of the ID.buzz
Drivers and passengers of the ID. Buzz experience the new Bulli feeling in an interior designed as an open space. Jozef Kaban :"We have a vehicle layout with a very logical and intuitive interior concept as well as diverse and variable use of space." Both ID. Buzz do in fact offer a great deal of space in their traffic area, which is compact as shown: Five people have plenty of room to travel in the lounge-like, friendly ambience of the bus version and plenty of space for luggage (up to 1,121 liters volume). If the second row of seats is folded down, the loading volume increases to up to 2,205 liters. A six- and seven-seater configuration and an extended wheelbase will also follow in the medium term. Costs over £50,000 yet it can’t even achieve 300 miles. The quoted 250 mile range is while the van is empty. Who knows how much less it is with it fully loaded… nice looking thing but you’re paying a heavy premium for looks.

It it wants to be successful in india or any non European countries, It will have to provide flex engine capabilities i.e. EV & blended petrol fuel compatible engine. Manufacturer in india, Mexico etc to reduce cost.

Really disappointed in the ID Buzz for it's miserable range . Out of spec was showing 158 miles at 70mph. Just terrible for 2022/23. Why on earth are the using the same 82/77 usuable battery thats in the ID 4 for the Buzz? The Buzz needs at mininum 100kW battery to get even close to 250 miles range. Anyway , I can cross the Buzz off for using it for Rideshare..thought it would eb a blast for doing Uber in...not with that range though.

Until they improve the platform or the batterys there is no possibility to have more kw on a MEB platfom than currently possible. Also, max system power is 225kw
