Great tutorial about opening the fob... my 2019 Jetta has a cr2025 battery however.... thinner battery than a 2032

If anybody needs to know, the black key fob (2019 Jetta S) uses a CR2025. It's the same diameter and voltage as the CD2032, but you'll have a heck of a time getting a 2032 to pop in there. It WILL fit, it just doesn't want to go quietly.

You saved me some money and effort, thanks a ton. Also, this should be pinned to the top so other "S's" can catch it. Also, condensed version is: everything you really needed to know is between 1:45 and 2:30

That’s not true. I just replaced 2 original black fobs and batteries inside were 2032
