I had a '58 beetle back in the 1970's it had a 36 horsepower engine. I Bet that V-twin makes at least double that with 2 less cylinders. Nice car.

I think it's great. My garage is inclined. So I have walk my bike back and fourth in order to turn her around. I have to ride it up my drive way. This would be great with my bad leg

Oh by a whole lot even if that was the big motor they put in the super beatles a 1600cc or what vw called a 35hp a stock 88ci vtwin is makes almost twice that ftw twf respect and love Stubbs

My 88ci engine puts out around 78-80 hp. Which is more than the VW did.

@rhager592 yup yup sounds about right with a carb and little cam ya my 96ci with a adorn Ness intake small cam 2into1 and tuner lays down 112hp

Consider that the original engine in that split window VW was 1200cc or 74 inches. Hmm! No plates?
