The Skoda Karoq is positioned as a more premium SUV and is available in a single, top-spec variant. But the Volkswagen T-Roc costs ₹20 lakh (ex-showroom), which makes it ₹5 lakh cheaper than Skoda Karoq.

you should have compared the features of the 2 cars in detail to know why karoq is 5L more expensive. *For 5 Lakhs extra of Skoda Karoq over VW T-Roc you get:* 1. Bigger car with more space and 200mm ground clearance (same as XUV 500) 2. Vienna Leather Dual tone beige and black interiors like Superb L&K or Kodiaq (VW has all black) 3. 10 colour Ambient cabin lighting 4. 4 way Electric Lower back support (lumbar) in driver seats (VW has only 2 way manual lumbar support) 5. Way Bigger panaromic sunroof and boot space 6. Electric drivers seat with memory function 7. Auto dimming outside rear view mirrors with memory function 8. iBuzzer and fatigue alert system 9. 8 speakers & 9 airbags (Troc has only 6 speakers and 6 airbags) 10. Navigation with live traffic updates 11. Cruise control 12. Full LED Fog lamp projectors (Troc has halogen reflectors) 13. Skoda's simply clever things like boot storage management, in car dustbin, ticket holder, umbrella under front seats, rear camera washer, etc. 14. Rear seats are deal breaker for T Roc. Even seltos or Creta has better space. VW should have given some thought to that before launching in India. Well made review though

Skoda any day, the interior of Skoda is top notch, additional equipments like electric seat adjustments , cruise control and extra space and boot volume of 521 make up for extra 6L . Outside designing is a matter of individual taste .I like the simplicity and elegance of KAROQ over T roc.

Thanks for the review. Your combination review is interesting to watch. I Have been waiting for this comparison 😍. I felt like design wise t roc is better but karoq is better on functionality. Still doubt whether a difference of 6 lacs can be justified. If it was only 3 lacs difference I definitely would have gone for the karoq.

Voxwagon cut down some of the functionality of T roc introduced in India Market for example T roc doesn’t have Electrically Adjustable seat for this prize segment why they missed that functionality .In T Roc they were given manual seat adjustment So better choose Skoda Karooq will be best to choice if prize little higher as compared to T Roc

T roc ofcourse, but extra also increases your road tax from 18% to 26%, which means nearly increase of 1,00,000 rupees in total comparing to other states. I really sad the done it this way. They could have just made the additional different tax rather than adding it to ex showroom price. And please reply how much last price I can get t roc for.

There is a reason why T Roc feels dynamically better than karoq, Because T roc comes with independent suspension both front and back But karoq doest comes with that
