I would add if you're changing plugs, you should consider: Brake fluid change (every 2 years) Radiator flush (every 60K km) Cabin filter change. Tyre rotation (ever oil change) Fuel treatment G001770A2 DSG oil (in most cases only 1.7L requiring the battery to be removed) (every 60K km) Adds about 1 hour to the total job and makes it more complete.

376 / 5.000 Hello friend, thank you for sharing your video, but doing a complete tune-up, you are missing several very important things. Change the fuel filter, remove the injectors and wash them with ultrasound, remove and clean the throttle body, scan and check if there are any fault codes, in the turbo, what you did is not a tune-up, but well, it starts with something.

Good video,my sons just got a Golf 1.6TDI it's started leaking black oil from central area below engine.Any idea if it could be just a quick fix? Or should we get it fully checked out
@jaysworkshopgarage4 ай бұрын
Most likely sump pan seal but best to give it a proper clean with a couple can of break cleaners give it a couple days then check for the fresh oil (culprit)

Hiya, I have a 2013 1.4tsi, and the engine starts then dies after 5secs, engine sounds fine, any Idea what's up? (scanner doesn't connect) tested the fuel pump and that's ok...

I would have said fuel pump or immobiliser initially but without a full diagnostic is hard to tell

@@jaysworkshopgarage it's acting like an immobiliser, but I don't think it has one, unless it's VW's. It might be the throttle body or throttle pedal?

How frequently do you recommend changing spark plugs?
@jaysworkshopgarage Жыл бұрын
I change annually but it depends how miles you drive per year etc. Roughly every 10-15,000miles.

you can suck oil from out of the dipstick hole, much easier, as under these cars there is a plastic protector , which is a pain to remove. . plus use a SOCKET type oil filter remover, much easier AND use a Torque Wrench to tighten sump plug + spark plugs. OR JUST GO TO A MECHANIC , much safer
@jaysworkshopgarageАй бұрын
sure but doesn’t take out 100% also all the burnt oil will sit in bottom of sump
@Dee-iy4otАй бұрын
@@jaysworkshopgarage thats true, but its much easier , and that burnt oil will mix in with 3.5L of new oil , so will barely make a difference. BUT i think most people should go to a mechanic to get this done, I can see a lot of people stripping the sump plug thread, or any thread really , they dont know how to judge tightening a bolt
