Disappointed we didn't get a Garry Kitchen volleyball game. Garry Kitchen's "Blood on the sand". 2 v 2 beach volleyball with battle tanks.

They probably would've sold more black box Volleyball had they only called it Air Humping Volleyball, ngl. Especially if they swapped to that last cover art.

My favorite volleyball games are the ones I played at vacation Bible school and family reunions. Those were unforgiving and ruthless and kinda deserved a Wisdom Tree title.

Super Spike V’Ball is a legit Top 50 NES game. It’s got great sprites, catchy music, fantastic gameplay, and tight controls. Plus it uses the NES Four Score brilliantly.

Volleyball is often overlooked on videogames. Apart from Super Volleyball (Genesis) and Hyper V-Ball (SNES) I haven't seen many volleyball games around, let alone those on NES. Kings of the Beach looked like the best for me. I guess apart from player legends it's easier to name teams who made history like Brazil in the '92 Olympics and between 2004-2016 (male) and the female team since 2008. Russia, Italy, USA and Poland always gather fine players as well. Volleyball is a very popular sport here in Brazil and a school favorite, probably the most practiced after soccer

My buddy and I used to rent Kings of the Beach back in the day and always had a blast with it! Super spike V'ball is also pretty awesome! ✌🏐

I was never very interested in volleyball, playing it with Billy and Jimmy was a hole different story, I spent hours of fun playing it with my brothers. Great video Trav, watch out for the crab!

Weird, I thought there was a Kunio vollyball game, but seems not. You'd think the Kunio Bros would have gotten themselves into it.

There might be one in Japan? I thought the same but was probably just thinking of Dodgeball

There is a Kunio Volleyball game... For the Game boy. Super Spike V Ball was also made by Technos Japan. I could have sworn that the Japanese release had Kunio but I can't find any evidence to back that up.

Between the apparently quite chilly lady at 9:26 and all that air humping, I think we can conclusively call volleyball the sexiest genre on the NES.
@rphoenix590811 ай бұрын
Nintendo's censors must have missed the "cold" lady, because similar things were typically not allowed in western releases and were removed for other games of that era released on NES.

Agreed. I had just as much fun with that game compared to Super Spike v ball

I agree that both Super Spike and Kings of the Beach are great but I give the slight edge to Super Spike simply because it's more fun and feels more arcade like. That's because it's actually a port of U.S. Championship V'Ball.
