I've been delaying watching this video for so long. And now that I've seen it, the pain in my elbows has become much less. I should have watched this video right away, haha. I won't delay it next time. Thank you very much for such important and rare information!

Это было действительно хорошо. Я был бы рад, если бы смог чем-то помочь😊
Hey these are the best, most condense, informative, analytical videos about volleyball techniques on youtube. We really appreciate it. I am already going through all of them. I just realized though that you have a lot of earlier videos that have no english subtitle so I can't understand them. Could you maybe make some English subtitles to your best earlier videos and reupload them? I just really want to learn more.
@hoshitore Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your nice comments! I plan to add subtitles to all my past videos someday. I'm working on creating new videos and adding subtitles to old videos at the same time, so I apologize for the delay. I will continue to provide as much useful information as possible!
Hey, I really love your videos. Also, thank you very much for the subtitles, so even more people can learn from you. I wanted to ask you to do a video about the differences in spiking form between male and female hitters. I play with both men and women and I noticed that some stuff I struggle with comes really natural to many guys (like arching your back and folding/ kicking the leg) of course they are also really talented. I don't want to complain, I just noticed the differences, so I wondered if maybe I am trying to do stuff that's physically harder for me and maybe some other form would be more optimal. (I am a 1,63cm woman)
@hoshitore9 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment! Certainly, it would be a good idea to explain them separately for male and female players. I would like to create such videos someday.

Best explanations! Unlike other videos telling you what todo without explaining why. If u found another video saying a different thing you get confused which one to follow because theres no science behind what they teach. I have a question. With the straight arm form, ive seen some athletes swing their arms up with their elbows bent and close to their body . It seems that this makes their swing faster to perform because they cut some corners and they hit at the peak of their jump. Would recommend swinging up like this? Will this cut the height of the jump?
@hoshitore Жыл бұрын
I think the speed will increase by making it more compact, so I think it's a good idea. The jump height may be cut slightly, but I don't think it will change much.

adding to your point about reaching top height in 0.4 seconds for circular spike the rough estimation here is that you would need roughly a 28inch/71cm vertical jump for this and your bodyweight does not affect the calculation (air friction does though and that's why this is just an estimation). Great video!

Thank you so much for a very useful video! I am a beginner of volleyball, and I learn so much from your series of video about jumping technique, spiking mechanism and footwork for digging spike and saving ball. Now I feel I have great improvement on my volleyball skill. Thank you so much! Now I am facing some problem of the timing and postion of spike. I always jump too early or too late when I approach to attack the ball. And more serious problem is I always jump exactly under the ball, not keeping the ball at the upper front postion, causing me always horizontally hitting the ball, can not hit the ball down. Do you have any suggestion to dealing this issue? Or do you have time to make a video to talk about it? Thank you!
@hoshitore Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment! Regarding the timing and position of hitting the ball, first of all, it is important to be able to hit the ball firmly when it stops. For example, you can hang a ball so that you can jump and hit it when it stops. Then, you will learn the best position relative to the ball by adjusting the jumping position. Once you can do that, practice along with the toss and you will improve quickly. Please, try it. Someday, I would like to create an explanation video of such a practice method.

Thank you for your reply! I will try your methods in my daily practice. Look forward to see your new video!

thank for the very deep explanation. This is very helpful. The effort to making this video is a lot since i am know how to edit video myself. You deserve my sub. As a player, I jump higher than other than people, since they always told me that i jump very high and most of the time whenever i spike my palm seems to hit the upper part of my palm and also hit the ball way to fast result in hitting the ball outside. I usually spike using Arrow form. but now i will change my ways to circular one to see if it helps me in perfecting the spike.
@hoshitore Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your nice comments! Yes, I think it's worth trying Circular. However, it may be possible to stabilize the bow and arrow by improving the twisting and arching of the upper body and the bending of the arms. Therefore, I would like you to try various swings while trying the circular! I pray the good fight!
