That serve is a brazilian original serve (brazilian fan right here 😊) and it's called "Jornada nas Estrelas" referring to Star Trek as we call it here. It was developed based in beach volleyball, in Ipanema if I get no wrong, and his creator is called Bernard. Just some curiosity, in case you were wondering and didn't want to Google.

Once I got the hang of my underhand serve, I made it one of the hardest serves on the team just by the rotation I'd put on the ball by hitting in on an angle and off of my wrist. My serve didn't go super high; it passed over the net by a few inches, then sharply curved downward. When I switched to overhand, I mimicked a similar style. I got really sentimental when the underhand serve showed up in here because I worked very hard to perfect my serves and it reminded me of those moments.

I know this is a lot of text, but I wanted to clear up the 6 people block question. It is in fact, allowed. But it is rather complicated and I will explain below. To start off, the Libero is not allowed to block. Therefore you can’t form a 6 people block if the Libero is on the court. *A bit of block theory:* In the official volleyball rules, a block is defined as a play near the net, where at least one part of the body passes the height of the net. And it is differentiated between two kinds of blocks. An attempted block and a completed block. As the names suggest an attempted block is a block, where the players *DON’T* touch the ball and a completed block is where the players *DO* touch the ball. A back-row player is allowed to participate in an attempted block but NOT in a completed block. So, as long as the back row players, who participate in the block, do not touch the ball, it is in fact allowed to form a block with 6 people. But it is not very effective, I suppose. Although I saw the video too, I think it is in the Russian league and it is amazing xD IMPORTANT EDIT: I was wrong! If a back-row player participates in the block, noone is allowed to touch the ball. Multiple people blocking is called an collective block and if anyone of them is touching the ball the block is considered to be completed So only if noone makes conntect with the ball, the back-row players can participate
@Juice19843 жыл бұрын
A block feint. If the hitter spikes the ball against a back row block, hitter's point.

No. Back row players are not allowed to attempt to block. The video you saw was a private match that was being hosted for fun.
@antoniabeck12313 жыл бұрын
@@MrSnom-pd7gx i don't know about the video beeing a just for fun game but i went back and checked the official FIVB rules and I have to admit I was partcially wrong. I corrected my error in the comment above Nethertheless, back-row players are 100% allowed to participate in a block attempt
@benagon3 жыл бұрын
@@antoniabeck1231 so .... If you run into a 6-man block, aim for the person who was in the back row, if they touch the ball, you get the point. If they miss the block, nobody will be in the back to pick it up, so ... you get the point.

About question, depend which match you plays with friends or something you can play like that. But with official match of volleyball you can't, just 3 people of front line can jump to block. 3 people of back line can jump too but only behind 3m line, that why asahi do back attack, and nishinoya have to jump before he cross 3m line to set for asahi. it my experience playing volleyball sorry for my bad english. the rally animation was so good but what happen to cour 2 animation
@slj15373 жыл бұрын
The animation is fine, and the big moments were animated perfectly, and IMO had some of the best animated moments in the series. Covid really messed up the scheduling for haikyuu part 2 of season 4. Production ig was working on multiple projects at the same time (did you know that they are the lead outsourcing group for AOT S4). The haikyuu team rarely outsources episodes, but for the second cour due to covid and be off schedule by a lot, 3 out of the 12 episodes were outsourced (15,19, 20, and parts of others). We should be back to original haikyuu quality for the next season. The match is still the second-best match of the series (S2 Aoba johsai is the best IMO) even with average shonen animation. Like, I think people don't realize that season 1 of haikyuu was pretty badly animated as well and most similar to season 4. There were a lot of still frames, disproportionate faces, and stiff animation. You can say that they had that squiqly effect (Hinata run in the middle school, match, Kageyama serve, Oikawa serve), but if you actually look at all the shots for that season it pretty obvious that it wasn't as high quality as S2 or S3. However, the main reason it had consistent solid to amazing animation because most of it was in house.
@tairco53103 жыл бұрын
@@slj1537 Thank you! People are seriously not getting over it. Yeah there were lows but given the situations and the amazing moments (and the las 4 episodes) we got I think they managed pretty well. And yeah people really seem to forget that the first season was pretty average. The funny thing is, most of the reactors really don't seem to care about the animation problems of the second part.
@slj15373 жыл бұрын
@@tairco5310 yea I didn’t realize how average the animation was in the first season until I watched Roshi’s reactions on KZbin while season 4 part 2 was going on. Like it looked good, but had it issues. Most people don’t really care about animation because as long as they get hit in the feels or pop off that’s all that matters (Haikyuu is always sooo good at doing that). Also season 4s art style is great due to the vibrant colors, expressive facial expressions, and body proportions that look like actual volleyball players (when in house). I think if you are only watching Haikyuu for it’s animation alone and ignore the brilliant writing, soundtrack, and the voice acting then I don’t know what to say to you. Like if you are going to criticize the animation quality this season compared to previous seasons, sure go ahead. However don’t go around saying animation sucks and therefore this is the worst season when it clearly has sooo much to love about it.
