I'm glad you reminded me about the "door drop," as my dark blue '79 had the same issue as it got older. This one won't stay on your lot for long, and this is the closest I've come to clicking the "Buy It Now" button....man, oh man.

Hello, this brings back memories. My Uncle had this exact car, didn’t realize the Gold was a special edition. The ‘77-‘78 are my favorite front ends, and the ‘shaker’ is standout. Nice example. Should edit the vlog tho, mention had A/C on test drive?

Very Nice looking car. But not to be "that guy"but... The scoop mounted to the hood ( big no no for T/A guys). Not original drivetrain. Steering wheel insert is suppose to be gold. The WS6 wheels are not painted correctly. The 160 speedo does not belong in that car. There are no Y88 stripes & no Y88 gold grilles and it has the plastic hexagon center caps instead of the round metal ones. The interior headliner & seat covers are not good. The car definitely is not tuned correctly with that edelbrock carb. Paint looks like it has some issues. I mention this because i bet your asking 35 or more for it. You will probably get what your asking but there are alot of guys like me who would not touch a car like this.

I took had one and foolishly sold it WAY too cheap. This car is missing all of the pinstripes that were on these. Repaint? Nice vehicle though.

There’s some things about it that don’t make sense, I had a 78 t/a 6.6 but my speedometer only went to 120 this one goes to 160, early 78’s did have the t/a 6.6 with the automatic but since the bird is later in the production run I doubt it’s a t/a 6.6 , but I’d take it none the less

The Y88 Special Gold edition was only offered in 78. Of course, you could buy gold Trans Ams in 79, but they weren't Y88 Special Gold editions.

It's the correct bird for a 78 Y88 special gold edition. First time that bird was used, and then that style of bird carried over to 79.
