I struggled with the downgrade problem, and them with a power supply issue with a battery without current enough for bluetooth and esp-now. So frustrating when you are a beginner. Several days of sadness until find a solution. Thanks for sharing this and for all your work, I'll certainly come back for the power pin and serial monitor tricks.

Yes, this uncontrolled development will strangle Arduino. I already noticed 7 years ago that code that worked close to the limit was later too big. Finding out what was too big is tedious. Since then I always write the compiler log at the end as a comment where all the libraries etc. are specified in the version numbers. For such external projects, I think it would be best if there was an export where not only the code but also exactly the libraries used are exported and, if necessary, the program then gives hints that this and that may be outdated.

If you’re speaking of libraries that can no longer be accessed or tools that disappear, boy can I feel you. I’ve been kicked too many times, and any project with external dependencies sends shivers down my spine. It feels to much safer to keep any project libraries within the project, and I would love to see a virtual environment for arduino like conda for python, maybe as a platformio thing. I always keep a build of any project locally, just in case the tooling goes poof one day or the build hardware is sunset.

You could make a tutorial for example to have a thermometer and hygrometer with T-Display Amoled Plus and that by clicking on the temperature passes to a new screen with a graph and when pressing again on the graphic return to the main screen? I am quite bad and the only thing that is modified some Arduino Internet codes.
