Unfortunate that Naples gets such a bad rap. But if you can overlook the claustrophobic street/sidewalks and graffiti, Naples is beautiful (and I’ve seen most of 🇮🇹) and locals are so helpful despite the language barrier. And the food?! The melt in your mouth pizza still haunts me and no east 🇺🇸 coast Italian restaurant will ever match Naples pizza. And despite its crime syndicate reputation, Naples is safe. My friend and I walked thru it at 3am and no one bothered us. I don’t feel safe walking thru NYC manhattan in daylight

Thats Italy's fault too. We was the most dangerous European country from 1800 to 1994, when we had like 2000 homicid3s and 1000 disappearances linked to mob, then we gradually became one of the safest countries in THE PLANET !!! The office for tourism was not pushing this tough, so a lot of people are stuck with the classic " Italy dangerous, South Italy worst "... fun fact South Italy is far safer than North now. We headed for greatness, the only EU country with a good GDP growth this year.

In case you are wondering, in Italy legal drinking age is 16 and even if you are younger there is no restriction to drinking but only to buy a drink in bars, clubs and restaurant. And funny enough if you were in this same situation but in a country with stricter alchool restrictions like Uk you would see people collapsed on the sideroad in their vomit... Think about it..
