I found these videos about 2 months before my exams and i'm so glad I did. My expected grade was a D but I managed to come out the exam with a C. These videos really did help, thanks.

Can you make new videos for the new topics in the AQA TRIPLE (exams June 2018)
@sofiakhan43568 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the video. Its very helpful. At 2:18, you said, 'doubling the potential difference, doesn't double the voltage anymore.' What does that mean? I thought potential difference and voltage was the same thing.Do you mean to say, doubling the potential difference doesn't double the current anymore????
@ChrisThorntonUK8 жыл бұрын
Ah, yes, my mistake, sorry for any confusion. You're absolutely right, I meant current.

Dear Sir, I just learned about pitch and amplitude of sound wave together and I do not get it. Questions like as the distance increases, what happens to the pitch and the loudness? Would you do a videon on this, please. Your explanation is all great.Thank you.
@ChrisThorntonUK9 жыл бұрын
+Haiyang He You may find this video on waves useful: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gX7JqaqHjNd1nbs By "distance" I assume you're talking about the distance between peaks of the waves, i.e. the wavelength. As this increases, the frequency (pitch, in a sound wave) drops. The amplitude (loudness in a sound wave) is totally unaffected by changing the pitch.
@wlh24769 жыл бұрын
+Christopher Thornton Sir, I have got a question says if one speaker is placed in a fixed position, then a person moves further from it. What happens to the pitch and the loudness of the sound the person hears compared to before. And what about the amplitude? I thought pitch might not be affected but loudness would be less.I just do not get it.
@ChrisThorntonUK9 жыл бұрын
+Haiyang He You've got it exactly right. The pitch wouldn't change* but the sound would be quieter (because the energy is spread out over a greater area). *unless they were moving REALLY quickly, in which case they might experience the Doppler effect, but I doubt the question is asking about this.

@ChrisThorntonUK7 жыл бұрын
It doesn't show up at all in the old OCR 21st Century Science specification for Physics, but it *does* show up in the old OCR Gateway Science specification, so it depends which OCR spec you're studying.
@romisa36697 жыл бұрын
Yes I am doing gateway b Thank you,and also,would all your other videos would be based on ocr too?(the ones which say get that C)?

What is the Potential Difference?
@ChrisThorntonUK8 жыл бұрын
It's the same thing as voltage, though exam papers tend to refer to it as potential difference.

OK, if you feel you must. KZbin's algorithm reads dislikes as user engagement anyway, and that's exactly what they want, so you're still increasing the search ranking for every video you click on and driving more traffic my way 🙂
