Main reason 'Power Rangers' (2017) did not make much money was due to being released between huge movies like Beauty & The Beast realistic hand-me-down rehash movie, 'Kong: Skull Island' and freakin' 'Logan'. If it released in a big movie gap, it could have at least made 300 million.

@@VDOTU5 there was a lot more wrong with it than just the timing. Changing core aspects, changing and messing with original design concepts too much, casting issues, writing. It's like how I felt with transformers. They tried so hard to modernize and turn the movie flashy, they forgot about the story line.

@@joshuasisson6816 That's why I said main reason. The other reasons did not stop it from being a mostly decent movie with various enjoyable, rewatchable moments for most who watched it. In between those big movies, even if Power Rangers worked more like Power Rangers plot wise, got the team being Rangers in action sooner, had a proper Megazord combination and was not trying to look like Goldar, had a Goldar who was more like the one we know, the movie still would have made at least 190 million between such mega movies.

​@@VDOTU5Nah, I doubt it. Power Rangers has the potential to be a great movie if done right. Cast someone like Idris Elba as Goldar to be a compelling formidable villain and not just a cgi blob. Someone like Eva Green as Rita Repulsa, give her an interesting or tragic back story of how she became Empress. Update the designs to be less cheesy but still recognizable. The cinematography of Star Wars with natural color grade, none of that blue filter, yellow filter shit. Now have Ramin Djwadi the composer of Pacific Rim and the first Iron Man to score the movie. Give it that Rock/metal vibe with the guitar riffs. No Kanye West bullshit. Make the teens lovable and cool. Not depressed all the time. Just Imagine, A John Hughes High School comedy with the Sci-Fi of Star Wars, The Giant Battles of Pacific Rim, The Superhero team vibe of the Avengers, and martial arts movie combat and choreography combined into one. A movie that honors and respects the source material while updating it for modern aesthetic. People would run to watch that movie! And if it's really good, they would watch it a thousand times! I only watched the 2017 movie once and never again because I hated it. It wasn't Power Rangers to me.

Like Transformers , Voltron was awesome growing up with. Watched every episode and had the toys. Voltron would be definitely be harder to film with all the pieces that have to come together to form him. But seeing as it’s the 21st century I think it shouldn’t be that hard , hopefully. Please don’t ruin or change anything about there appearance or story that is way off from the original.

So far, all I'm getting is that they're trying to leech off the success of Netflix and DreamWorks' Voltron Legendary Defender. Henry Cavill is obviously playing the movie's version of Shiro, pilot of the Black Lion, and Daniel Quinn Thuy is playing as the movie's version of either Keith or Pidge, assuming the filmmakers don't reimagine Pidge as a girl again like DreamWorks Animation did. Those are the only two characters I think Daniel could play. There will be another adult playing Hunk, and Lance may or may not be Latino like Jeremy Shada's take on the character from Legendary Defender was, and Allura may or may not be a teenager in this new film, depending on which direction they go.

I read the Justin Mark script. I had a few problems with it. 1. No main villains. No King Zarcon, Witch Haggar, Prince Lotor or Drules. They did have the robeasts though and one throw away villain. (Not who you would think) 2. The Lions were made out of junk/spare parts. 3. The Most of the main characters (In my opinion) 30-50% roughly their cartoon counterpart.

If they are using source mateeial from Go Beast Lion AND Armored Fleet Dairugger. That doesn't sound goof at all. Because you have 5 lions with pilots and 15 vehicles and apace explorers. How many characters will be in the movie. Are we to realky see 20 Voltron pilots, plus Koran and the nanny/governess and tge bridge crew of the Exploree (Commander Hawkins ....who Cavill could also play, Captain Newly, Sparks and etc).. plus Marshall Steele or who ever from Galaxy Garrison and King Zarkon, Prince Lotor, Hagar the Witch and tge Drule Empire. All this has the makinfsbif them trying to do a live action version of of the old Voltron" Planet of Doom cartoon. Which scares me if we are talking live action.
