I love the Waterton area. Have lived in Alberta for over 50 years and until 2020 had never gone there. Now it's an annual destination for me. BTW, can confirm the Thirsty Bear is not a gay bar (it can't be, because I was in there). 😀

Waterton is a beautiful spot in the world. Yes, the Thirsty Bear isn’t a gay bar, just a funny sounding name. When I took the boat tour, when they asked if there were any questions, “Where are the whales?” I asked. “The Prince of Wales Hotel is right there, on that hill.” The guide answered. I guess since it sounded just like Whale, the guide won that one! lol

@@motohawk602 Haha good stuff. The Prince of Wales has been featured a number of times on TV, including the recent Prime video series "Tin Star". It was built by the Great Northern Railroad in 1927.
